What do yous guys think of the proposed 14 14 18 new league set up with the rangers and celtic colt teams involved? I say this is a very clever and devious move by anne budge dangling the carrot of the old firm colt teams involvement, and for this privilege we need to pay £120,000 along with celtic and pay for 250 away tickets at £15 pop for every away game, i bet kelty and brora who will promoted don't do this, i'd tell her to chase herself, celtic won the league, so hearts must be relegated, end of discussion!

Ally my understanding this is a Rangers proposal not budge. It’s us saying if u want our sport here is what we want. Very clever move.

I don't think that it was Hearts that proposed the Rangers and Celtic Colts Teams entering the lower leagues and I reckon it was a great idea. No team should be relegated when the leagues can't be played to a conclusion. From a Rangers perspective it will provide us with proper competition for our young players.

Ally. 1 it was Rangers that came up with the new league set up. 2 Pacific Shelf never WON the league they were gifted it by the Corrupt SPFL 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️😎👍.

Not only is it a great opportunity for the Scottish game financially, it's a great move politically by Rangers. This proposal could save a lot of clubs and see Rangers as innovators who have the future of football in this country at it's core.

If you read the comments of other fans pdot unfortunately we aren't being hailed as innovators, it's big bad rangers as per usual! Bored of this countries contempt for us, can't do anything right!

Well, if they can't see the benefit of the proposal, hell mend them! What they are being offered is better than anything else on the table to enable them to survive. I want to see all clubs stay afloat, but if they are foolish enough to reject this, let them perish!

berkshireblue no team can be relegated without completion of the league, then no team should be promoted or given the league, sweet talk it as much as you like reconstruction should not be happening, and i for one hope it fails, tainted title, tainted league, tainted sfa and spfl.

Berkshire totally agree we need better competition/ investment for youth in our country. Colts teams is a step in the right direction but with only two, this is still not going to be enough exposure for enough youngsters in this country. There needs to be a fundamental change in how we value our game and how much £ is invested.
A question for the older bears even tims on here, I'm mid 30s so unable to answer from first hand experience. Up until the mid 80's scotland were able to produce genuine world class players on a regular basis. What has changed or been lost in this country since then to cause the slump in the quality of player produced?

If they are foolish enough not to see the benefit of the proposal then hell mend them! If they choose to be blinded by their jealousy and hatred of our club, let them perish. I honestly believe that our motives are pure, and the best on offer. Without it, a lot of them will die, those remaining will never have the chance to progress and improve.

Rangers and celtic are the problem bob. I'm in my 50s and all rangers and celtic teams were full of scottish players and lots went on from lower clubs to play in england. Now we would prefer an Italian to a player playing for shettleson juniors. The amount of players to come through junior ranks in the 70s and 80s was unbelievable. Other problem is too many coaches in kids football only interested in their own boy rather than the team.

I think this is a great proposal and would right some of the wrongs imposed by idiotic decisions by the SPFL. Scotland is far too small for 4 senior leagues.

Fauldhoose bear you are spot on regarding kids football it’s unbelievable what goes on with parents at these games even encouraging boys to break legs etc.

Amazing the stats for players in countries like Spain and Croatia who have played in Colt teams.

Rangers have come up with a great plan here but I doubt it will be voted through although my brother disagrees and says with Lawwell's support it will likely happen.

Coming from a celtic fan, sounds like a really decent idea. Both Celtic and Rangers have pushed the idea of colt teams in the past.
