One of my good sources told me that we DID approach Potters. Board are hoping MB resigns as we would pay no compo. If we sack him we have to pay and apparently he told JB that if he is sacked he wants every penny he is due. Looks like board are trying to use the option of trying to embarass him into submission to hand in his notice. Time will tell.

On a foot note. We can never get managers like Potter now. We are embarassing ourselves trying that one. Wee Davie Martindale for me all the way.

Well, many on here we’re outraged that Beale was approached while GVB was still in a job. I expect to see an equal amount of anger towards the disrespect shown towards Beale now. Less we be hypocritical….

Fez I reckon we stand a great chance of getting Potter.

He is a quality manager and is looking to rebuild his reputation after his stint at Chelsea. Don’t get me wrong I am under no illusion that he would be using us as a stepping stone back to the promise land that is the Premier League and I really don’t mind that. We can’t afford to take a chance on our next manager once Beales out and our Board know that. Potter and Reid all the way ????????.

We are talking about improving things by getting a manager of stature like Potter than somebody says wee David Martindale for me . Thank god you are not on the board as that would be us hitting a new low. I suppose you will be suggesting installing a plastic pitch next. The issue with Potter is that Chelsea are probably still paying him and there would usually be a clause that if he took another job then that would break his contract, so he won't be coming.

If Potters response is true he`s kidding himself . If he wants to manage a Champions League club then he should take the Rangers job win the league and he`s got his wish. After his stint at Chelsea he won`t get a shot at one of the other big boys down south and he doesn`t have a big enough reputation to get one of the decent European clubs.
