After confirmation yesterday of Southampton's relegation to the championship they will have a major clear out. And we have been offered the chance to resign Joe Aribo in a cut price deal. Would anyone take him back?

In my opinion the answer would be no I will always remember him for his goal against braga but we need a new direction and new ideas. Also would like to see us bring in duk from Aberdeen looks a cracking talent and terrorised us on occasions this season. Maybe not champions league quality but would be good in our challenge for the league.

They don't need a major clear out. The parachute payment and challenging for the title next season makes them sound. However, if Aribo was available at sensible money, then yes he's a great signing. He just didn't fit the system they used.

The rule of thumb is never go back so it’s a no for Aribo and for Duk you must be joking it’s only against us that most of them try.

It depends on the deal. For me Aribo was good when on form. I think we have signed better with Cantwell but if we could pick Aribo for s fraction of what we sold him for he is a better option than Arfield.

Don't think Beale's interested in Duk, he is going for better players than that. If Duk was that great, he wouldn't be at Aberdeen for a start.

Aribo was a great player for us, our best creative midfielder under Gerrard. He is far from lethargic, and has done far more than the goal against Braga, he was our biggest threat in the Europa final.

Watch his gers Highlights again lad was superb for us, for less than a few hundred thousand was an absolute steal, EPL clubs wanted him when gerrard convinced to sign for us, would love to see him and Cantwell running our midfield they'd kill it together.

Though I doubt we will get him again, time will tell and he may be a tad past beales preferred age range for the new squad.
