Talks port reporting Aribo has refused to sign a new contract.

One Walter that has been case for sometime.

2.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 20:27:27
Sell him asap then.

3.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 20:44:33
John25 that's the 1st time iv read or heard it being public. Sell assp as long as a fair price.

4.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 20:51:35
get him out the door ASAP,10mill and he can jog off.

5.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 20:53:55
@john even less than that, he wouldn't even come to the table for negotiations. He's been disinterested in prolonging his stay for a long time, I don't even believe we bothered to offer a new deal due to his disinterest.

6.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 21:04:58
He’s no been signing a new one sign gerrard was here.

7.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 21:42:18
At least the boy was still trying his best for us.

8.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 22:04:52
He rejected talks last summer, as someone on here rightly I’d he’s done it b4.

Was very clever off Wilson to put in a clause re minimum price. All those that suddenly want to run him down, he signed a deal, honouring it, no where does it say he must sign an extension.

True blue did u say same when we sign him, Bassey, lundstrum, sakala, McLaughlin et al.

Paul u need a buyer… player could wait till next season and earn massive signing clause.

He was fantastic for us.

9.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 22:07:10
Perhaps the lack of movement is clubs are prepared to wait until players are out of contract if so there's nothing we can do.

10.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 22:13:01
He's gave us 2 good years, if he wants to run his contract down that's his choice. We got him the same way for 300 grand and didn't complain. He's been excellent for us so I have no ill will towards the boy at all, he could be one who goes through his career just working his deal then moving on for free.

11.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 22:13:10
It's the players choice whether to sign a new contract or not nothing the club can do, Aribo can see out the remainder of his contract and leave for nothing next year, big financial incentive for him to do so.

12.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 22:14:01
Exactly rfc22.

13.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 22:31:41
One Walter as we discussed earlier seems to be the case more and more.
Barcelona signed two today
Pogba done same, lingard as well.

14.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 22:32:53
I'd honestly take whatever we can now for aribo. If he wants to stay for the last year as long as he plays to his ability I'll be happy who knows might even play better to entice a bigger club.

15.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 22:45:13
Correct john but i can see few bid in for him shortly. Almost certain he will be away.

16.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 22:52:59
Honestly don’t see us taking any less than £8million after the season he has had even if he is on his last year.

17.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 22:57:26
I think so Paul, I’d be happy for 10 million and hopefully sell on.

18.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 23:00:08
john25,any player who has 1 year left on his contract can see it out if it suits them, why did you bring the rest of the players into, if they don't sign a new contract they can all jog off as far as i am concerned, i will admit they are giving their best while they are there, if were led to believe southampton and crystal palace are his stretch good luck to him, maybe a better league but can't see any of those two being in europe in the near future, anyway i will be happy if he pops off in this window and we get our just desserts for him.

19.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 23:10:07
The reason I mentioned others don’t remember u complain true blue when we do the exact same.
Not happy when it’s done to us but ok if we do it to plenty others.

20.) 04 Jul 2022
04 Jul 2022 23:55:21
Seems to be a lot of complaining flying about when debating!

21.) 05 Jul 2022
05 Jul 2022 05:13:52
I think if we get an acceptable bid from a decent club he will be away. As much as I see huge benefit for him personally running his deal down its a huge risk also, what if he picks up a serious injury and can't pass a medical.

Always better to have the security net of a contract.

Not saying its not possible but I think there will be enough interest for him to go in the window.

22.) 05 Jul 2022
05 Jul 2022 07:04:14
True blue these players aren’t caring about Europe as that’s all we can offer it’s playing week in week out against better players and more money they want.

23.) 05 Jul 2022
05 Jul 2022 08:09:50
Big gamble for the player as well. A year is a long time to train with the reserves and sit in the stands every game, if we decided to play hard ball.

24.) 05 Jul 2022
05 Jul 2022 08:29:04
Alloa believe me if we let him run down contract he won’t be in the stand.

25.) 05 Jul 2022
05 Jul 2022 08:49:55
I know John he’s too important to us for that but that would severely set him back if we done that. Hence there being a bit of a gamble on the players part. Did Celtic not do that with Balde years ago?

26.) 05 Jul 2022
05 Jul 2022 08:51:51
John I’m not sure anyone wants his contract to be run down. But a fair price and to be strong when making a deal, yes that is wanted. If there is truth in the 10m buy out clause then that really takes care of any deals to be made other than perhaps gaining a sell on.

It’s disappointing that he sees no reason to extend with an understanding he would be sold with a certain offer. However that’s his prerogative! He has been excellent for us!

I wouldn’t be surprised if Southampton was his new club.

27.) 05 Jul 2022
05 Jul 2022 09:26:30
The player looks after himself gdog. If he signs a new deal with us it significantly reduces his signing on fee.

28.) 05 Jul 2022
05 Jul 2022 09:35:40
Strachan ordered Balde to train with the kids because they gave him a long deal on wages they decided wasn't worth it and tried to force him out.

Only issue was he was happy to sit on the money knowing he might not get similar elsewhere.

Fines were in place if he spoke to the first team squad. He used to pop into the changing room to say morning to the players and just take the fine to wind Strachan up.

29.) 05 Jul 2022
05 Jul 2022 09:35:46
We will get a good return on him, and hopefully a good sell on clause. I guess the choice is for him to remain and get a healthy bank balance and medals, or to move to a lower level EPL club and get mega bucks with no chance of winning anything. Money over ambition, let's see.

Yeh I get that John I don’t disagree mate. It was good for Kamara of course that doesn’t mean it’s good for Joe.
