Rangers have written to the SFA seeking answers over the highly questionable VAR decisions at the weekend. Rangers say they are "bemused".

Do you still think it was a foul, Storm?

I thought no foul and penalty.

I’ve been reading a bit in the press and this is what confuses me. The people saying it was a foul against the Celtic defender say Dessers didn’t touch the ball and wasn’t in control.

However, maida smashes cantwell in the box, he isn’t close to the ball, doesn’t make contact with the ball, isn’t in control of the ball, etc

So what is the rule? I’m just a little confused and I thought the referee was poor throughout. And just to be clear I don’t blame him for rangers getting beat. That’s down to MBs tactics and poor performances from the players.

Baz imo definitely not a penalty.

It's just excuses. Stooping to their level.
If you are going to complain about decisions then you need to complain about every good, bad or ugly. That way you have the moral highground.
More worryingly does it say Beale is going nowhere as they believe the board was at fault?

It was never a foul. The referee was incompetent and that is the only reason Rangers lost the game.

Maybe Storm can come on and tell us why he thinks it is a foul. He was very certain on Saturday that the VAR team had made the right decision.

We lost the game, no point blaming the official's or anyone else. that was the worst celtic team I've seen in ages at Ibrox and we never really troubled them.

Think the rule book states that you can't impede a player in the kicking motion UNLESS the player in question is close enough to play the ball himself. for me it's a goal. refs and var are that incompetent tho they don't know there own rules. They must have given it for the supposive impede as if not its a clear free kick to us then with arms across dessert body. þhought var was meant to stop this crap but here we are. when ex referees are coming out stating the rules saying it should have stood shows you the standard of our current refs and var.

Its not a penalty and its not a foul for our goal he kicks the back of dessers leg after he got in front of the defender if it's a foul at all its on dessers and the advantage should be given. Any sane minded football fan knows that's never a foul.

They made a decision right or wrong we all see it differently.
Look to the ones you actually get in past games then thought that's not a penalty or a foul or a goal. Who cares we got a penalty we win the game.
There have been many.
It's the interpretation and consistency that is wrong.
Some you win some you lose.
Did you see kyogo was offside when he scored that goal var proved he was onside would that goal have been given if we never had var. Possibly not. How many times has someone been allegedly offside then varvsays goal stands then you celebrate.

Said before if the goal was given we would of won but just would of papered over the cracks of how wrong the tactics were, we were screaming out for a man to man press with someone on Mcgregor for the first 20 mins and they would of folded, after 20 mins everyone in ground knew we had made an arse of it, still gutted ??.

Verdant where have I said it’s a foul or not a foul? I was going by the rules it was a foul I also said I didn’t agree with it.

Davie Douglas you are correct with the rule but some people still have blue tinted specs off.

Did we not get a pen against st mirren for the exact same foul last season? Verdant didn’t see you say that wasn’t a pen ?

Do you still think the last old firm game was a marker for this season.

DD it’s not a goal because dessers didn’t play the ball.

Interesting comments on Sportscene that if Dessers had went down from the kick, it would have been a foul to Rangers but because he played on, the foul is deemed to have been by him, not on him . That seems crazy to me. Once again the spin is that we were poor and we still wouldn`t have won but just like Alfies goal at the piggery that was disallowed it would have put us one up and the whole nature of the game changes . In both games we lost by a single goal so going 1 up would have impacted the game significantly.
