Gigi Buffon has retired at the grand old age of 45.
What a keeper btw, seriously what a goalkeeper.
Other than the goalie he’s probably the best I’ve seen.

Cassilas may the greatest ever due to his medal collection which is just astounding. He was also an absolutely outstanding shot stopper.
But Buffon probably a better keeper.

Was amazing when we played Parma back in the day was outstanding and always used a lot of his techniques and movement when I was coaching keepers along with legendary West Ham coach Tony Carr's routines and both were invaluable so hope he enjoys his retirement big loss to the game.

I was there that night and I have never experienced an atmosphere like it in my life, closest was beating psv (van nistelrooy and luc nillis) 4-1 at ibrox, but Parma at home was unbelievable
Apparently the Leipzig game was something else at ibrox but I wasn’t there altho the camera on the telly told its own story, the stadium was literally moving
Some I believe atmospheres at Ibrox stadium.

On the subject of Goalies and great saves, who was the Goalie that did the miraculous back flip to save a certain goal, I can't remember his name, but it must have been amongst the greatest saves ever.
