Yesterday we controlled and dominated a game where the result was never in doubt.
Against a side who were quite content to time waste from the first minute and even more strangely their keeper got told to hurry up by the referee when they were 2-0 down!
And we wonder why Sky are really only interested in showing the 4 old firm games each season.
Tillman was my MOTM, simply for showing others where the back of the net is.
Followed by Kent and Jack.
Goldson and Davies stilled through the game as well.
Cantwell made about 4 or 5 wonderful runs into the box that weren't picked out by his team mates.
Morelos linked play but was again unfortunate/ wasteful in front of goal.
And special shout out to McGregor who kept a clean sheet on his 500th appearance. A magnificent achievement in the modern day.
Though I still struggling to work out Beale's substitutions!

They were atrocious, MPH. At 2-0 down, and their keeper time wasting, it told you everything you need to know about their end goal.

Agree with your assertion that Tillman was MOM, but Kent wasn't good at all. One really good shot, but nothing much more than that.

We really need someone in the middle who can see that killer pass right away! As you stated, Cantwell made a few terrific runs into space through the middle, with no opposition player around him, but nothing came of it because Jack, and more so, Lundstrum, never picked it up. Oh, and by the way, Lundstrum was woeful! Honestly, If MB doesn't know that Jack and Lundstrum can't play in the centre of midfield together after all this time, then that's a worry.

If Raskin doesn't recover in time for the midden, and MB opts for Lundstrum and Jack as his CM pair, then I fear the worst.

I thought Davies had another decent day. He might not be the biggest, or most dominating CB out there, but my God, the boy can read a game. The boy sees things happening well before Goldson, and his reading of where the ball is going has saved Goldson on a few occasions.

Dominated the worst Dundee United team in living memory. Ryan Kent hit the crossbar and done absolutely nothing else but because the standards of Rangers fans these days that makes him have a cracking game.

You know me, BigBen, I’ve been one of Kent’s biggest critics ( constructive in my opinion ) .
But I thought yesterday he done all his good work where I expect him to - in and around the box.
91% pass accuracy
7 out of 9 ground duels won.
An assist.
And for extra kudos, at the first goal he assisted the assister of the assist??
It’s amazing how we view games but I respect your opinion.
Agree with your assessment of Lundstram. Hero last season but just not hitting the same heights this year and some fans pouncing on any error.

Guys I never seen the game missed through work yesterday

But reading on here . whwn was the last time lundstrum had a decent game for us feel like he’s just jacked it in
speaking of Jack it seems MB favourite pairing so if Raskin still not ready can really see him sticking with this 2 together in the middle which would be a disaster
Lundstrum passing has been well off for a long time now
He really doesn’t have any real pace
And been consistent in losing possession.
and gives up far too easily nowadays anytime I’ve been watching him

if he’s not away in summer I’ll be disappointed.

Raskin, are you serious?! The first goal came from a pass from Goldson, a sublime flick from Cantwell, and then the finish from Tillman. And If you are crediting Kent for an "assist", from the ball bouncing off his knee after he failed to control Tav's pass, which then fell nicely for Tillman, then that just as embarrassing as Mols's "great cutting across the park's evaluation!

How bad have we become, and let our standards drop, that we are giving credit to our supposed most dynamic, forward thinking player, cutting across the park, or setting up goals because he failed to control a pass, which luckily bounced up, then off his knee, into Tillman's path for the boy to score?! Absolute riddy!

Lundstram hasn't played well for a while now and for me he has reverted to the Sheffield United player at the end of his contract there that was far to negative. I agree that it doesn't work with him and jack in the same team but yesterday we were wasteful in front of goal or we could have scored six or more!
We know that a number of our current squad are coming to the end of their contract and we need to ensure that players signed are better than what is leaving. This will put a significant focus on the Board and on the players signed! Replacing Morelos, Davis, Helander, McGregor and possibly Kent, with better players will not be easy.

Kent’s assist was a honking first touch, he missed two fairly simple opportunities and hit one cracking shot that he was unlucky with. I’m torn whether I can seriously justify an improved deal for him I change my mind on it regularly. Sometimes I think our desperation in the past to hold onto Morelos and kent has actually held us back.

To think that we used to applaud players like D Cooper scoring a worldly free kick! Or super Ally winning the golden boot! Or Laudrup tearing a team apart all by himself! And many more phenomenal players, goals, runs etc! Now look at us?!

Giving kudos to a player who passes a square ball to a defender who passes it forward to a player who flicks on a pass to the eventual scorer highlights how desperate some of our fans have got. And for his other "assist", we'll that's just embarrassing! Jesus wept!

If it's as easy as this to get credit when we score, why don't we give kudos to the ball boys when they throw the ball to a player for a throw which ultimately ends up as a goal?!

thanks sweep, i know this team needs a restart and at least 6 starters need replaced starting with th ones who are taking a fortune for the same poor offerings every week, i know we could have so much better, fitter and mentally stronger than what we are getting now.

imagine having that 100k per week to replace alf and kent, i guarantee you we would get better, add in tav and lundstrum wages and you have a fair level of negotiation power. i believe the likes of dykes, do not earn wht spome of our " stars" earn, and he's an international player, i'm not saying i definetly want dykes, but i do know he is a very handy guy to have, and mcburnie, i think we should have got ferguson but we blew that imo.

Davie we are making far more chances now, posted already 87 shots in our last 3 games, we are winning these games easy we were capped in the first 3rd of the utd half, we weren't losing that game yesterday, dundee utd had 11 in that area makes it harder to brake down but we will always find a way of doing it.
