Macrae I happen to agree, I felt since him an sands were playing in that position that we leaked a lot of goals from corners / crosses as we were a big centre half down, but I'm also not sure if height is fully responsible as the system marking could well be a major issue too, I'm actually led to believe kings strongest position is sitting Infront of the defence to utilise his range of passing, on a whole I actually think he's so eca good job being thrown in, Wil it be a good or bad thing for his development? I'm not sure only time will tell, what I do know is the boys been watched off all the big boys for many many years and we are lucky to still have him, also helps he's a blue nose, I think we all forget the pressure and intensity of the game these days must be some shock to the system going from youth to first 11, over the years it's proven in Scotland we aren't dealing with it very well, superstar kids then threw on the scrap heap, personally I liked the reserve league system, I'm hoping this structure just now with meaningful games makes a difference but I'm still not sure it's the answer as they may feel they are play for nothing due to no promotion, sorry for drifting off on the point but last point i'm really not sure how it will go when all fit again and I'm guessing Beale will want to let helander go and bring in his on centre half, I hope king doesn't just sit idle again for a season or more as he's nearing the age he needs to be in an around the a first 11 or he will stagnate but that's just my opinion.

Yes but they could jump, King can’t. He is still young so hopefully grows the next couple of years. If he doesn’t then he will need to find a new position (RB or DM) maybe as a utility man?

I’m all for bringing through youth and appreciate king is only 18 but for me a CB needs to be 6ft 2 and upwards. Height key when defending crosses, corners and in attacking corners and set pieces. 6ft for me is not tall enough and yes puyol and cannavaro were small but for me king in front of cbs or going to rb May not be the worst move for him. Hope I’m wrong and he can make it to the top as a 6ft CB.

Martinez for Man U is under 6ft. Having height is great and all that but if you can’t defend for toffee then it’s pointless unbelievable the amount of people slating an 18 year old it’s embarrassing.

I definitely see King playing sweeper for us after half time the dressing room must be a mess bottles etc laying around, so someone has to sweep it up before full time I think that's his level.

Just look at Phil Foden, is he too young too, if they're good enough, they're old enough. We've been carrying certain so called great players for a while now with only a fraction of the criticism this kid's been getting.
