So it's roughly working out 1 Rangers fan out of 3 what gvb to go on here, it seems a lot more to me than that on others Rangers page's i what him to stay.

Want not what, i meant it is far more on other Rangers forums than 1 in 3 that want him away, probably about 70% i think that's a tad unfair just got us to a final in Europe lost league by 4 pts and won a sc qualified for the cl all in 10 months our fans are unreal on a lot of occasions.

Were we not 6 points clear when he took over? Celtic went on a remarkable run in the league. But its thr manner of the pumpings we have taken. 2 absolute gutless shows at parkhead. Embarrassed by ajax. Recruitment has been extremely poor compared to across the city. he's changed this season to zonal marking which is clear as day not working, lost count amount of set peice goals were losing. His style of play this season is extremely slow and boring. Unable to drop ryan kent who is absolute murder. Goldson also has been woeful. he's just really struggling now and just can see him seeing the season out. We were even holding on for dear life at home to united, couple weeks after the other lot hit them for 9.

He scrapped zonal marking on Saturday, better wish what your hope for because no other manager will ever get us to a final in Europe now.

Goldson Kent Kamara have been shocking does gvb take credit for that? but he needs to take them out the team.

Don't worry mate this place is full of mad folk. Loads of folk on here also wanted to play a friendly against separate entity fc. The Colombian Humpty dumpty gets more respect on here because he constantly let's the fans and club down. Yet Gio gets us to the Europa league final and a Scottish cup win and qualifies for the champions league without him but the fans want rid of Gio. The players need to take a good hard look at themselves. Just imagine if humpty dumpty was a true professional and never got himself sent off against hibs leaving us with 9 men we would probably have won that day and be joint top of the league just now.

Well said paul86 and that's the reality of it. Yeah we got to Europa final and won scottish but that's in past we are judging him this season and the performances have been sub standard.

We sack our manager right now and it will set us back at least 2 years imo.

Deemc22 what were you saying when he got us into the cl this season? he should never be sacked if it happens it will set Rangers back for many many years he is not the problem, i think we all realise that something is not right with our club but it is certainly not gvb.

Sacking Gio, and then bringing in a manager the calibre of a Parker, Davidson, or any other underwhelming name, sets us back years. However, sacking Gio, and bringing in a better manager, would not set us back.

The big problem with sacking him, is there a better manager out there within our price range? If we sack him, we need to pay him, which will cost us, then there's the issue of getting in the right man. Parker wouldn't cost us anything as he's out of a job. That's a plus right away with our board. Davidson wouldn't cost us much in compensation If he was brought in, plus his salary wouldn't be much. Another plus with our board.

You see where I'm going with this? If, and it's a big If, we want a better quality manager, the chances are, he is already in a job. That will mean paying more in compensation, and a higher salary. So, that would leave us having to pay off Gio, paying compensation to bring in new manager, then paying a decent salary to get the better quality manager. Do you see our board doing this? Not a chance!

Be careful what some on here wish for. You want Gio out? Well, remember that If we bring in a Davidson and the football is the worst we've seen since Pedro. Just saying.

The Manager is going nowhere. He is on a contract until 2025. I think we have went down the crazy path like our rivals. I myself was consumed a few weeks ago and thought about chasing players out of car parks. I then realised my expectations out weighed reality. i'd rather start season bad and finish strong?❤️??.

I think the criticism of Gio is over the top, the players that Ia lot of us raved about not so long ago have let him down, and we players who are overrated and don't seem to want to play for us. Whoever offered new or extended contracts to some of our players is at fault, we needed fresh blood in, so the money set aside for these contracts could have been used in part to fund the positions we've all moaned about. As for Celtic and their supposed better recruitment this season, what have they achieved on the stage that pays real money i. e. Europe, answer damn all, and their results over the last 4 games are the same as ours. We need, myself included need to support the team and Manager instead of always wanting things dismantled, just my opinion folks, not a dig at anyone.

Three Cheers, you are saying there are lots of mad folk on here yet showing nothing but disrespect for one of our most prolific strikers in years.

Yes he has let us down at times and he has paid for it by being dropped, he comes back with hunger and scores the goals. Many players in our history have had questionable discipline it's all about how you manage that.

GVB and his management team must be given time.
The positives are:
Europa League Finalist’s which is a massive achievement for any SPL side.
Scottish Cup Winners.
Qualifying for Champions League.
Colak has been an excellent signing along with Lawrence.
Academy players King, McCann, Ure have all made their first team debuts this season, along with some others who featured against QOS.

We have lost Bassey, and Aribo which is a negative on the field but financially it’s a positive but only if the money received is invested wisely.

Hopefully our injury list improves in the near future which will make the squad stronger, and the new signings adapt to the pressure of playing for our club. ( Colak and Lawrence are exceptions plus Tillman was excellent prior to the Old Firm game) .

It’s early in the season and yes we have had 3 horrendous results but we showed more resiliency against Napoli until the sending off and picked up a valuable 3pts against Dundee Utd, which has reduced the deficit at the top of the table to 2pts.

This is only my view on the season to date.

We are a fickle bunch! He’s not even had a year and Gerrard had 3 until he won a trophy. And I wouldn’t judge by what you hear on here, folk that want rid are more vocal at times than those that don’t. It’s always the same when looking for change, the folk that are happy with the status quo are generally quieter.
Give the guy a chance though, he’s not even had a full season and he’s had 2 transfer windows where I still believe he has t been fully supported for whatever reason.

How long will supporters hang onto the gio got us into a europa league final so he shouldn't be sacked. It's based on results n performances of this season. If that's the case then poor tuchel who won champions league 2 seasons ago shouldn't have got sacked.

Deemc22- Who is your ideal replacement to replace GVB?

17.) 20 Sep 2022
20 Sep 2022 10:50:08
Tel me who we’ve dropped points to this season that we should t have? Celtic away? Hibs where we had 9 men? Ajax? Napoli? If those results are that outrageous that the manager should get sacked then we’d be as well packing it in. Outside the old firm Celtic have dropped more points I. The league than us, they’ve also lost and drawn to lesser teams than we’re playing, and their fans think he’s a god!

18.) 20 Sep 2022

Explain why the recruitment across the city has been better? They signed a back up keeper, CCV, maeda and Jota were there last season and they activated the options to buy. The boy jenz looks a poor defender, £4m bernabei is sitting on the bench just like our £5m left back. Haksabanovic looks decent from what I’ve seen. Mooy and abildgaard nothing more than squad players. Who improves there 11 from last season? It’s the same 11 more or less.

Gvb would 100% rather win league with brushimg teams aside than doing well in europe. This season we've struggled in league and taking hammerings in europe.

Paul every Rangers person what's the league title but sacking gvb is 100% not the answer.

There may be no better manager willing to take the job with the club set-up the way it is. I always thought that the 'hairdryer treatment' which Alex Ferguson was so good at would help every now and again. Maybe Van Bronkhorst doesn't work that way, but it might help with Morelos, Kamara, Roofe and one or two others.
