Do you think you could come up with an 'Obscure Gers XI'?
How many times has a name cropped up in the media and you think "ah, i forgot he played for us".
Maybe someone who only played a few minutes for us or just seemed to be a bizarre signing and it didn't work out.

There are more obscure options for left back. How about, Oliver Bernard, Paolo Vanoli or Jerome Bonisseli (I think that was his name) .
To be honest if you google Alex McLeish signings, you’ll find an awful lot of very random players that we signed during his time (along with some very good ones as well mind! ) I know we were starting to ‘down size’ during his last couple of seasons in charge but when you see some of the names you really do start wondering, what was he thinking!?! 😂.

Stormtrooper Jardel agreed terms, was pictured in training tops and paraded before fans in a game against Raith Rovers in January 96. The problem was that we failed to receive a work permit for him and the move broke down. Having said that surely we could have loaned him out for 6 months and secured a work permit for the start of the following season.
