Surely it's only natural for any player who plays in a lesser known league wanting to better themselves. So do you think its wrong for a player to have ambition?

Any player who is content to play in the SPL forever, regardless if it’s the old firm, clearly has no ambition. Every single player in our squad and Celtics will want to play in a better league. Majority of them won’t play for bigger clubs but a chance to double or treble your wages and play with the best players can’t be sniffed at. Look at Tierney/ Gilmour guys who are lifelong fans that left because the lure is too big. Alfie is no different. At least he doesn’t bs the fans and he’s been honest from the start. And he says he’s happy anyway just that there was interest.

This type of ambition is not what we need. We want players who have no ambition, no desire to be better.

I say hang him from the same gallows that we used for Paterson, Bassey etc after the cv party.

Exactly don’t understand the criticism of having ambition. Everyone in life no matter what you do wants to aim higher, earn more and perform with the best in your industry. At the end of the day Alfie has no real loyalty to us he grew up in Colombia. Guys like Ferguson, Hutton, Davis, McGregor etc who are life long fans have left in the past to Better themselves and earn more money. Does it always work out? No. But you have to at least try and get to the top and no player is going to get to the top playing in Scotland.

Nothing wrong with having ambition and barisic, goldson, aribo, kent and morelos undoubtedly have the quality/ talent to go and play in much better leagues than ours 👌.
