Looks like we have been linked to another left back in Gijs Smal who is a free agent in the summer i don't know much about him a part from he is playing for Twente is holland.

Sounds like the type of players we can/ should be going for
Looks a good calibre signing and out of contract in the summer so fee shouldn’t be too high if we get him now.

Nicknamed Smaldini and valued at 6m euros. Seems to be better defensively than offensively from what I've seen on scout pages etc on X.

Not seen anything of the man myself though.

To be honest, he looks like a younger, more physical borna. he's defensively better, but can stil whip a cross. He seems like a decent evolution should borna go. Be nice if we went a but younger but you’re paying for potential if they're already proven eh.

He was linked a month of so ago on follow follow, somebody saying they were in the know and he’s a target.

Not seen the lad play but he seems to have a strong reputation.

Hes an offensive fullback, he plays high and wide, good on the ball, good at picking passes, there was a good scout report on him recently, we have been linked a number of times to him, bit like yilmaz in the that he can come in field and also like borna in that he has a good cross. Like all other players if they sign, no gaurantee they take to the crazy nature of hoofball in scotland.

Maldini was one of the best CB's in the history of football

Smal is a quality attacking LB, has scored some absolute screamers over the last few years and regularly contributes with assists and goals.
In his prime.


I would like us to sign Smal LB, Oppegard LB, Manhoef RW/ LW.
Clement and Koppen seem keen on players in the Eredivisie.

Wouldn't bother Doig, Mckenna or Shankland none of them are good enough for europe, if we eventually want be a serious team again in the Champions league and feared and respected in that competition like we once were, we will need far higher quality players than that.
