He’s a very good player. Rice was ahead of both of these lads at international level coming through the age groups, he needs to play at a level that’s pushing him similar to Miller and Barron.

In terms of development John., Rice at age of 15 was viewed as a player who could play and compete with boys much older than himself and still stand out. He was captain material and expected to be playing first team football before either of the lads mentioned. Miller and Barron are both ahead of him in progression. Rice needs to play or a top end loan.

If your meaning in age John then only Lennon and Bailey can be compared, Lennon at 17 is playing regular first team SPL football and rightly getting the headlines. Barron should be in first team at 21 but imho I’d be going all out for Lennon and have him and Bailey as our future CMs. Hope this answers your question John.

Would take Lennon over Barron.

Lennon and Rice would be make a cracking pair of CM's.

Imagine Two 17 year old lads running riot in our midfield.

Both clearly have the potential to improve massively and have maturity, skill, talent and composure well beyond there age.

Both came through at motherwell in the same youth squad.
