Don`t see any merit in appointing Butcher, he has been out of football and away from Rangers for so long. He`s another one who was great player for us but his track record in management is nothing to shout about. I would think we would be looking at someone a bit closer to the current Scottish football scene than big Tel.

dont think any rangers fan turned agaibst butcher, but his missus wasnt happy when he was playing here because he got so caught up in the seige mentality and was getting difficult to live with because he lived and breathed rangers at the time, nobody celebrated more than him when motherwell beat them and won us the league, he was ecstatic on pitch side, , i honestly couldn't think of a better man to have in that dressing room, if his wife allows of course, legend of a man.

btw, i drank withguys fir years who were often in big tels company, he absolutely loved rangers, and was never so happy as when playing here, but as i said i think it affected his home life, he was known to burst into the occasional “ traditional” songs when out withthe team, , he was almost taking coisty and durrantys positions as cheerleader, i would love to see him in that changing room myself, i would also love big goughy but can't be greedy, can we.

Cheers John, I know the manager isn't DOF, but now we've got faith in Clement as the right man, and as he'll work fairly closely with DOF, it would make sense for him to be involved in the decision and think Bisgrove actually said this. The comment was a bit of a humorous one about Souness wanting lampard for the mgr job when the overwhelming majority seemed to be against that appointment. ?.

I know big Terry and his wife Rita well. My ex used to clip their spaniel, Brambles, years ago. Spoke to Terry a few times about Rangers. He absolutely still loves the club and would walk over broken glass to take up a role for us. Only problem is I think there was a massive fall out with Graeme Souness, so not sure if that has been healed or not. Plenty of experience and great passion for the game. Big Terry and Gough our best ever CB's imo.

Tom, I won't go to away games because of what you have highlighted. Of course there are great fans that still go to away games, however there are many mindless morons who insist on tarnishing the club's name. One of my best pals is a big celtic man and he said it is exactly the same with their away support. He used to go everywhere with them but only goes to Parkhead now.
