Reading a few claims from people apparently "in the know" on twitter saying Nisbet is coming to Rangers. No journos all just fans with apparent "links" but I doubt it's true. But posting it in here anyway because why not.

What’s not to love about rumours from people with links or ITK?
Year left on deal so probably cheaper than Shankland for a similar type of goal scorer.

Nisbet has a higher level than Shankland.

He's got a similar record to Roofe as well. Do we need another permo-injured striker?

Ask Nisbet if you see him and he will confirm there is no chance of joining Rangers . Maybe try Twitter?

how does he “ have a higher level “ mate, i don't think that, i don't think there's much but i prefer shankland myself

its a strange thing nowadays i know but

if i have a choice of 2 equally promising young players, i'm always going to pick the boy who grew up like myself, supporting rangers, i know some people like to jump in with the old “ doesn't matter “ nonsense, and they're correct, if you get right boy who will engage and become rangers daft, i will take the boy who is rangers daft in the first place, i think either we get him or itl be england very very soon, we allowed another young rangers boy to go to italy, are we really going to do it again.

Nisbet, shankland are not at level needed . we need to look at quality in front positions at parkhead and look to match it at least. Kyogo is miles ahead of both of them not to mention jota. We need to find quality at a reasonable price not an easy task.

He has a higher level in his opinion just like you don’t think he has.

Shankland is 27/ 28 that is not young and promising Nesbitt is 26 not young either.

So far it's been Nisbet, Shankland, Mcburnie, and Dykes. There must be better available in other markets. If that is the level of our ambitions then we can look forward to being second best a while longer.

Have to agree surely we have other options it just feels lazy from scouts and we must do better.

I wouldn`t say Nisbet is injury prone, he had a bad injury at the start of the season and has now recovered from it, in actual fact Shanklands number of injuries over the past few years is far worse. As for preferring to have players who supported Rangers growing up playing for us, we do need some but only if they are good enough . Guys like McCann and Johnston were terrific players for us and they didn`t support us and on the other side Dalglish, Brown and Provan did okay for them . Its talent we want, blue noses or not.

We can't control the journos john, the scouts should be in our control.

Were our scouts not meant to watching a cf from the mls, that's not lazy scouting.

Higher level than what! . injuries!

Yeah makes sense definitely signing for us then another player that has a reputation for being lazy in regards to teamwork and injury record

But by all means let's keep going down same route of injury prone players and expecting different results ?.
