Allegedly we're watching and keen on the coventry city striker Viktor Gykores ?.

Have posted before that he would be a genuinely terrific signing if we managed to pull it off. I watch a fair bit of Championship football and he has been a standout. I just think EPL teams will fancy signing him and likely blow us out the water financially.

My mate is a season ticket holder at Cov. Half the world is linked with him. I’ve seen him a few times.
Decent. Would still rather see the Eastern European boy (Croatia/ Bosnian? ) coming in but we’ll need 2 strikers anyway. Don’t think Colak will be here sadly, Morelos away and Sakala needs moved on.

MillBear i must admit i've not seen much of gyokeres playing for coventry myself so it's good to hear you've watched a fair bit of him and he looks good ? Since being linked i've read other people's opinions about him and he seems very highly rated ?I wonder if John27 or anyone else on here for that matter has heard/ been told how interested we are in viktor gyokeres ?.

Coventry last summer were talking 15 to 20m so he is way out of our price range unfortunately. Half the premier league plus dortmund been at last half dozen Coventry games. Smashing player but no way he ends up in scotland.

Gyokeres is valued in excess off 12 million and should end up in epl.

I've seen quite a bit of highlights. Good player for Coventry. Similar to what we have in Lawrence and maybe tillman.

Wouldn't be my priority unless someone leaves or plenty of cash available.

By all accounts, he can play. However, it will mean sod all to us, because we can't afford him. He's being touted at 10m plus!

Not even close to same type of player as Lawrence or tillman mols. A number 9, nowhere near the player obviously but closer in style to a haaland. Was actually described as the haaland of championship by the Blackburn manager last week.

Out of contact 2024 would be a tremendous signing but destined for the premiership.

He has no left foot. show him onto left and he's done can't believe nobody noticed this about him yet.

He's having a good and lucky season and the boys a trier but no better than colak.

We can’t afford 10m so we need to focus on signing players from other parts of the globe, who probably cost less in transfer fees and wages.

We are not going to spend £10m + wages on a player so we can discount this guy as an option. Look at the quality of players available on free transfers and there is enough quality to win most leagues in Europe.
We might not attract a tier one player but there are certainly plenty of decent quality players valued previously at up to £10m that we should have been looking at already.
It is all about knowing the skill sett and quality of the player you want and then convincing them to sign! Gerrard did that successfully with Lundstram and by all accounts, Beale has done a superb job convincing Cantwell and Raskin to sign.

Darius Olaru and Octavian popescu - both are in the final years of their contracts and with Hagi already here they would compliment Beale's team vision going forward. Octavian is only 20 and Olaru 24, both currently valued around 4-5 mill, but will cost less 1-2 mill now there at the end of there contracts, one call from Hagi's dad and they'd on the plane to Ibrox in no time.

natural lw and natural rw similar mentality to Raskin and Cantwell. they play for the team, they win and are very talented attackers. Roofe can't stay fit, Colak doesn't work in Beale's system, Morelos is still regaining fitness incase anyone forgot he had a longterm injury and will take time to return to his best form.

Sakala would be better as a left or right forward alongside Akfie or a similar striker, and Sakala needs to learn to hold back before rushing into offside positions. His goal tally would be higher if he didn't rush in and learned to dummy defenders / goalies before finishing.
