Few sights saying robbie Ure the young striker isn't happy with current contract offer and wants too leave, thought this boy was doing really well 18 goals n 7 assists also scored on his senior debut, any body heard anything, i honestly thought this boy has potential too make it

Thoo could be nonsense i'm reading.

Let’s be honest we won’t see him play again with Morelos, Colak and Roofe fit. A lot of these players that are good at b team level ain’t good enough for the first team sadly. The amount being released this summer proves that. Even the ones with high potential barely get a look in. Expected Lowry to play a lot more this season.

2.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 11:18:32
The youngsters that don't make our first team is still making Rangers plenty cash going forward, Lowry had an injury this season and will get played more but when he does start a game he needs to step it up because we have many talented am now.

3.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 11:22:13
With a rebuild of some kind required in the summer, these guys see another door closing in front of them.
I would not be surprised if most of the b team look to move on, as chances become more and more limited.

4.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 12:38:48
16: 17,18 year olds need to develop first, how many 16-17 year olds playing in spfl or epl.

5.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 13:38:35
None John and if they do player they will be been highly talented boys, I agree with you at least were making good money from moving them on great for us moving forward.

6.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 16:40:58
Read a report saying he has been offered a new contract on less money than he us already on. I can't see why he would accept a reduction.

7.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 17:06:09
It’s only a small % of young players that make the step up to become a regular starter in the first team or at the very least a squad member.
We currently have Devine, King, and Lowry and even these three players have also had limited game time this season.
McCann moved on to FG Rovers to get a regular game.
Bassey established himself in the starting 11, and Patterson featured in the odd game, and both were sold at a hefty profit for the club.
The club have recently bought Cantwell and Raskin who are both relatively young players so it is becoming increasingly difficult to make the breakthrough from the B team, but you never know.

8.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 17:28:46
Copland old enough if good enough.

9.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 17:55:04
I’ve seen a lot off ure, at this stage off his career he would be behind, rudden, Dallas and Hardie imo.

10.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 18:08:04
Really John? As a guy that watches youth team you can't use EPL and spl as an example of youth development foreign teams are far better at it than us by simply playing a youth regular in your team peoe start watching as they all want to jump on them before they go mega money. Playing them more is the way ahead in my opinion as the financial gap between us and rest of Europe only going to get bigger as spfl are making a mess of sponsorship TV deals and our game in general all short term thinking. ?.

11.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 18:12:15
And Monty how do you know they are not good enough? Boy played 1 game scored 1 goal it's stupid our club don't even have a proper look at them in spl games I refer back to my previous comment rangers 3 nil up at hearts and Beale brings on jack with gash in his leg rather than Lowry who ayed well against hearts before devine looked decent no longer getting game time out club is a. farce when it comes to youth and the boy went up in my estimation if he's planned ng to leave it tells me he's ambitious.

Nobody should let Thier kiss resign for rangers after a certain age as we simply don't give them a chance.

12.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 18:14:42
Copland your seriously not counting bassey as a rangers youth are you? He was brought in.

13.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 18:18:47
Problem gofor, people on here would run them down at every opportunity as we see on here regularly

Would u accept not winning league for five seasons to give our academy boys 100 games.

14.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 18:31:19
Gofor- fair point Bassey was previously with Leicester but an example of what can be achieved as players all have a sell on value.
I am all for giving young players a chance.

15.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 18:38:39
Seen a fair bit of Ure play and il be honest iv never been Overly impressed by the boy, don't feel he will ever be a starter.

16.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 19:57:07
Yeah name of the game as you always hope n desire a good Scottish talent too make it through our ranks into the first team, just harder at teams with more money too bring in forign talent who will obs be up the peking order before them, as better the players wether scottish or from abroad so much harder too push on make the step up to first team.

17.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 20:18:49
And at least post full rumour rangers offered less money than he was already on. I am one who thinks club are lying again about finances and this is designed to force boy out club and us to get development fee.

If anyone has a kid out there at rangers once they reach 16 they should leave you will not get a fair chance.

And any parent that doesn't advise Thier kid to do so is crazy in my opinion.

18.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 20:43:29
John now your being daft not win league to give youth a chance who said that nobody!

Like I said the other day £ nil up at hearts and first sub we look to is jack when he just took a knock and gash in leg week before and left two booked players in barasic and lundstrum on the park til later in game risking red card and he brings Lowry on in 89th Min if you can't being one youth player or for 20 Min of a game your 3 nil up in then I'm sorry for us to say there is a clear pathway for youth is a blatant lie and again short sited by our club we will lose Lowry for under a million when we should be playing him and looking at good fee.

Did we lose all leagues with Ferguson Hutton McGregor Adam miller and the like no! We are simply being short sited.

19.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 20:45:05
And John inflating numbers and pulling stupid scenarios out the air is beneath you.

Did I say they had to get 100 games or you have to play them all at once no!

Expect better from you john.

20.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 22:18:21
Whatever the rights and wrongs, we need a way to bring them through. We have 2.5 strikers. Roofe good striker but been out every year. Yes injury but surely there is room on the bench. Might give others a kick up the arse in times they can't even be others to turn up fit! That way the others might see a Pathway and we won't loose quality.

21.) 09 Feb 2023
09 Feb 2023 23:03:15
If you look over all the top leagues there almost no 16.17.18 players starting for thre teams unless they are top class a see why there is a b team cause one day a player will come through that is a exceptional talent we don't have that in the b team at the moment.

22.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 00:08:50
Any striker worth there salt would score 20/ 30 at youth level And most don’t make it he’s hardly prolific would prob score 4 at his level at all and will be wanting 5/ 6k I bet.

23.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 00:09:43
Go for … where’s the rangers lies?

24.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 05:11:14
Harry kane did rubbish in championship and came back to spurs and something just clicked .

Not every player developes the same way.

25.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 05:13:49
If you want to go stats route look at Lowry game time compared to goals and assists with top team and still gets left out because he's perceived as cocky or arrogant and then Beale hinting at doesn't train hard enough.

I'm sorry but Beales job is not to get the most out of players day to day it's to know how toanage all types of players to get best results on pitch and youth development is a part of that.

26.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 06:43:26
Just thought it sounded he was progessing well 18 goals n 7 assists
Goal on senior debut

Si i would have thought this would be potential to nurture unless a majour prob we don't know or see

Thought with these kinda stats he would off had some training in arournd the first team more too be accesed more.

But maybe he has n just ain't cutting it

That's why was asking just seems acadamy grads a becoming few n far between in the team

N i get its great too make good money on them

Would just love too see another ferguson, mcgregor, type player really make there nam at us

As i thought Patterson would have been an exceptional ger if he stayed on, yeah i get it was tavs spot but he done no wrong, could have been our future captain, boys like this are few n far between so why keep punting them, Patterson. Gilmore,

I would have rather kept him
As over the years i think he would have done us a better turn than ten million by been a pivital player for us

Just my oppion guys no right or wrong just harder being acadamy players at larger teams.

27.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 11:25:37
Why would we offer the boy less money than he`s on now? That would be us just saying they don`t want him so we should just release him when his contract is up. Can`t say I`ve seen much of him but he did do what Rudden and Hardie couldn`t do, score on his debut. He`s scored 20 goals already this season, trained with the first team and scored a goal in two appearances so I don`t understand why we are making him an offer he can`t accept . Hopefully this is just more Football Insider nonsense, they seem to continually print rumours about our youngsters contracts that never come true.

Wsl. FI never get anything correct.

29.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 13:55:31
Gofor u got an issue, I asked a simple question, u go on attack, read it,

Many on here say they would play academy, I simply asked u.

I asked if that was your view.

I know much much more than u about youth football in Scotland and England.

30.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 13:56:45
Wsl, how do we know this to be true, more click bait rubbish.

31.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 14:59:23
East Belfast we don’t even have that type of player in Scotland imo.

32.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 16:08:45
Correct John it's baffling a can't remember the last time a Scottish team actually had a youth player that actually had what it took to go far.

33.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 20:37:08
East I do think is a combination off many things.

34.) 11 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 23:37:14
Hey guys
Thought I’d add some into this post

Am I missing something? Or got the wrong end of this debate?

Is it just me or are forgetting about young players like

Ben doak now at Liverpool
calvin Ramsay at Liverpool
Kerr smith Aston Villa
Aaron hickey Bologna
Ferguson - Bologna
Ian Henderson st mirren
Rory Wilson Aston Villa
Connor Barron - Aberdeen
Lewis fiorini Man City - loaned Lincoln city
Elliot Anderson loaned Bristol city

There’s more won’t name them all

But they were all playing first team football bar Rory for us
That all done well enough to get good moves and look promising careers ahead of them
and ones still up here getting good game time and making a name for themselves with there respective clubs like at mirren and Aberdeen Hibs have been good at giving young ones good game time too

Aren’t a lot of these not got what it takes to go far

look at john McGinn - Andrew Robertson?

These guys played here and got the moves and went onto have good careers

So not understanding where some posts am have came from can’t remember young guys getting game time and moving on to better things
Or will have the chance to move to better things?

young ones getting game time all over the place just we don’t as a club don’t like to do it to often

We just need to give one or two more of a chance to stand out and get behind them.

35.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 07:10:00
In addition to Stigs list, look across the city at what Callum McGregor and James Forest have achieved. Then add onto that Kieran Tierney. Even Ralston is getting more game time than any of our youth products bar Greegsy who has been around for almost 20 years now.

To play in Europe we need to have homegrown players and, to make progress in Europe, we need to have good homegrown players capable of being more than quota fillers. The pressure on rangers managers to win every single domestic game leads to not even seeing many youth players in Cup competitions. We really need to be giving more opportunities to players at a younger age.

36.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 16:45:12
The number one requirement for Rangers and for any manager of Rangers is to win the league. The objective of the Board must be to provide the manager with the Resources to put the best team on the park so that we have a better chance than the opposition to win every game we play.
I do worry that we might be releasing young players that could go on to be first team regulars just as Barry Ferguson and McGregor were.
I guess my concern is that generally, we do not have the quality of player that we had historically that allows us to bring in the youngsters and still be confident of winning the league. This last Transfer Window we do appear to have made two excellent signings but it has been a long time coming and we still have a long way to go!
Can Use and others at the Club be future top players for Rangers, I would like to think so and in Ure's case, given game time he might just show that he is better than Colak.

37.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 21:31:04
East Belfast so the players playing in Italy seriaA hickey at Brentford Patterson at Everton, Ramsey at Liverpool ? have you been watching football for last few years ?.
