Former international banker trader Kieran Prior is set to buy stake in rangers around 1. 6% and invest 600k, he is also ranked one of the smartest men in the world with a IQ of 234. Source tv

This guy Prior is not investing any cash in Rangers. He will buy from existing shareholders who wish to sell. The benefits will accrue to the selling shareholder. not the club. This is an important distinction

I have a pal who works at Goldman and he says he is the brainiest and most astute guy he has ever met.

Think last part of the article contradicts the beginning of the article.

Can't be that smart if he invested in Rangers, Mensa must have made a mistake and put a 2 in front in error. martyc1888

Having read into this guys life a wee bit I really hope he buys up enough to have an influetial role.

The guy is truly inspirational and any influence he has can only be positive.

Martyc1888 - bet he'd be smart enough to post on the correct team's rumour page though! :) Pete

I would like to put forward a word of caution for those with a mindset like blue genius. The majority of us inc myself have never heard of this fella before and before we start shouting for this fella to have some power we should maybe be a little guarded about who is coming into the club. I'd personally welcome a fella of his talents who is able to assist and guide those already within with sound financial advice and with a revamped business model. Then if he proves to be as good as the powers that be say he is then he can fire in and continue to push the club forward. Just a thought!

He's an outsider and will have visibility of everything. The board will not be able to hide anything from him.
Deeds to assets, detailed accounts, contracts, debts, salaries, all the dirty linnen.
He will have thought of every trick a year before any of the board dreams it up (5 years if Jabba).

Which existing shareholder is bailing out and selling 1. 6% of shares? Ahmad? Blue pitch holdings? Earley's? McCoist?

I can understand the note of caution my friend. My enthusiasm I snot based around his business acumen (which does seem substantial) but his other attributes.

The guy has overcome crippling illness to succeed in a very cutthroat business. This paired with his clearly impressive intelligence and kind nature (has spent the past few years building his own charity) lead me to believe we are not dealing with another Green or Whyte! Its a definite start!

Bluegenius, don't fall for the tims take on prior m8, its obviously a ball from left field for them and they will worry a wee bit that gers may have found the right guy,
ure points are genuine and respected m8, by gers fans anyway, and most of us don't need to be told by keyboard warriors to "not fall for anyone who comes into our club " we don't do that anyway, we have no option on who trades shares < TB

You can tell that he is smart. only bought 1. 8% so no risk, then again he did invest so how smart is he lol

Agree with the last post. He didn't mouth off about becoming a major shareholder. Said he was coming in to look 'under the hood' and decide from there. He said he'd be buying 1. 4% in 48 hours and that's what he's done. No false promises, no unrealistic ambitions and a helluva shrewd and intelligent guy. Fingers crossed
