Pity we couldn’t get a player like Cole Palmer, what a player, not 21 yet and future England centre forward. I watched him yesterday at Luton, amazing talent. How Man City could sell him is astonishing.

I think with their firepower already and £40m for an unproven talent (at the time) it made good business sense!

They obviously don't see Chelsea as competition right now. I struggle to think If Arsenal went for him instead of Havertz they would have sold to Arsenal but maybe I'm wrong.

Looks an incredible talent, his balance, poise and skill was truly remarkable, what football is all about.

Man City academy is brimming with talent just like Palmer. Easier for them to let one go if they have another 50 like him.
As for us, we can only dream.

This is why we need to change our entire youth set up. Historically, we have seldom signed top quality youngsters, even Scottish Kids. Hopefully, with the new Regime now in place, we will see a more positive approach to signing and developing quality young British Players, (and even some from Europe).

Sadly good young players can also be pinched by the cash rich clubs down south Billy Gilmour style.
