Good news today about looking at getting extra seats in the stadium, safe standing and the club confirming for 2nd year in a row we will be in profit. So in my eyes that tells me there will be money for PC to bring in his own players.

All very good news Paul86 I agree ?
The best and biggest news for me however, was the news that at last the late, great walter smith will be honoured by our club, as his statue will be erected outside the copland road stand i believe, very early in the new year ?.

Am glad Walter is getting a statue but the club running at a profit is the biggest and best news for me. We can’t have a 2012 situation ever again club needs stability before statues or seats.

What an exceptional manager for Rangers, I enjoyed his calm demeanour concerning mostly everything, though I’m sure he was tough when called upon. John would know more about that than me .

Totally agree John. I still watch his tunnel interview with Chick Young from time to time as a bit of nostalgia.

Walter Smith deserves such an honour and tribute to his legacy. Its great news that we have made a profit again and if we could expand the stadium then that would ensure that we continue to make profit and secure our future. exciting times ahead.

remember him at ashfield, tough cookie alright, wee jim mclean always wanted him in his group, walter had a way of showing care while being hard as nails, not easy, i'm still in touch with archie knox, he loved walter.

Love the story of Walter while assistant at man u, stopped giving fouls in training because Ronaldo was full of trick and flicks, not much of an end product, after 2 weeks of getting the shi# kicked out of him, by his team mates he finally started to release the ball and realise he was benefiting a lot more from it, brilliant coaching by a brilliant man.

I wonder if the club will do anything to honour jimmy bell?
Maybe name part of training ground, not the whole thing, after him or something at Ibrox, perhaps?

Hopefully, they come up with something befitting of his service to the club.
