I've been convinced about a lack of fitness since gio took over, and scotty arfield mentioned a lack of fitness training in the pre-season training they did in spain.

indeed, seems a bit disgruntled with all the injuries that are landing at his feet. crazy the amount of first team players we have that are injured. something isn't right and PC is quickly finding out who he can rely on and who he cant.

Have to wonder about that, he's been available since last summer is that right? Perhaps should've looked at him before Beale came in. Doesn't matter now anyway he's here and he looks the real deal. Fingers crossed.

As I’ve said before on this site, I was useless at football, but I did another sport and before starting to train, we would have done a good 45 minutes of stretching and other loosening up exercises to stop muscle fatigue and injury. I can’t remember ever having a bad injury and the sport I did was very physical . Has all these starter exercises now out of date or not used?

Just caught the pressers. The manager speaks very well and knows how to navigate his way around loaded questions fishing for negative headlines.

I liked when he said about not rushing players back too soon and that sometimes you find a solution you didn’t know existed by giving someone else a chance. I wonder if that’s possibly a nod to young MacAusland getting a run of games in the team.

If it is that’s exactly the type of decision making we need, rather than keep churning out the same unfit or miss firing players, we have someone willing to give others a chance to impress. Players will love playing for a manager like that and it keeps everyone on their toes. If you are not upto it physically or form wise, yer out and someone else who’s raring to go gets the start.

Very early days and trying not to get carried away with the nee manager but so far I like what I’m hearing and more importantly seeing from him.
