Why is Alex Rae taking training with Clement, have I missed something?

Sure he said in his press interview he would keep the interim staff on in the short term and evaluate in a few weeks what he needs, which is why he didn't take a back room team only as assistant manager.

he is obviously still employed by rangers as a coach, and will continue to be until the manager decides otherwise i suppose, why would h3 not be doing his job?

A few reasons Alloa.
Rae is still employed by us, so has a job to do. Clement hasn't finalised his coaching staff so will have limited coaches to utilise so he needs the help . And finally, maybe he wants a closer look at Rae to see if he could be part of the new set up?

Clement will be assessing them all on and off the grass to see if they fit into his way of thinking and ethos. I’m confident Davis will be part of his coaching staff if he wants it.
