As it seems that it is going to be clement or Muscat, thought I would give my two pence (not that anyone asked) . For me I would be happy with either of them.

Clement has more credit in the bank no doubt in terms of pedigree and stature in coaching. The three league titles in a league of similar stature to ours shows this. For all three of his league winning campaigns, his side had the best defence in the league, something I think we will need to focus on in the first period of his appointment. Out of our regular back 5 back including goalkeeper, only one is under thirty, this will need to be remedied in both January and the following summer. His build up play is more about finding space in the wide areas, with attacking full backs, circa gerrards era with tav and borna at their peak.

Muscat is not a plug and play version of postecoglu. Although we would see similar instances like wingers being high and wide, trying to create space in the centre of box, he doesn't tend to operate with inverted full backs and is a good coach in his own right.

If I had to pick one, I would say clement right now probably has a better chance of getting something out this squad, however I do hope the chance does come round again with Muscat, as I can see his career is on an upward trajectory.

OT, the point here regarding both clement and muscat is they've won things and are winners and that's why one of these 2 manager's will become the new rangers manager ?.

Apologies, I misread. For some reason I thought he was meaning Muscat had 3 league titles.

Whoever comes in as manager can have a style of play all they want - but let's be honest they need a bit of magic to begin with to make a silk purse out of a sows ear - usual injured players and no on pitch leader/ some very average journeymen players/ and several useless buys who look at present like duds. I feel whoever comes in will need a few windows of wheeling and dealing before a true stamp can be put on the team - let's hope he takes no prisoners bins the underperforming and gives the team some belief, structure, leadership and fight.
Got a real feeling that we will only see a good Rangers team when the old guard/ stalwarts are removed and a solid cohesive defence unit is formed and a true captain/ leader is brought in. Only my opinion!
