Not sure if this would be out of our Budget or if the player would even be interested in moving up north.

Ben Brereton Diaz - out of contract in the summer with Blackburn and easily one the best players in the championship. With Alfie not looking likely to get back to his best and still making very high wage demands we should cut out loses and offer Diaz the same if not higher wage - large signing on fee in the millions - sell on % too. All pie in the sky but he would show true ambition, maybe with CL football he could be persuaded.

We badly need a new keeper if young Robbie isn't seen as the answer and a move that wouldn't break the bank in the summer would be Arnaurd Bodart from Standard in Belgium 24, and a great young keeper valued around £3.5 million. Kovacevic from Rakow in Poland would be my number 1 choice but his reputation has grown and talks of his value soaring over 5 million now.

The club want to cut their losses with Morelos and move on. They know his wage could be better spent. They have offered him reduced terms on performance related incentives. This way if he can't get a club and he does sign then the club gets a player with 'potential' that could be sold for profit but on far less terms as previous. The club is protecting its own interest. The club know he won't sign the deal as he wants more money than he is on just now which the club won't pay. The club are hoping that someone comes in this month for morelos so that we don't have an awkward saga towards the end of the season.

King Charlie. difference in spending 4m on someone your signing regardless in 6 months for free and spending 5m on someone who may have 2/ 3 years left on a contract who you might never sign if you don’t get in quickly before they get a move and become out of our affordability.

Raging he left no harm to the boy or the club just great potential and think he could be a star in the making and we lost him unfortunately
Will continue to watch his career over the coming years and see how he gets on hopefully a Scotland striker in the future who will do us all proud ?.

Bassey was a product of Leicester City youth program we can’t take the credit for that. Seems we have lots of promising youth players but most getting shipped out and very few making the breakthrough to regular first team football.

2blue how many would u expect to be breaking through to first team squad, look around England see how many do, we r making significant progress in what was set up as a 7-10 year program by gerrard and Wilson when he came in.

Fair enough John was just expecting to see someone/ anyone breaking through based on all the hype about our younger players. Maybe I need to go and watch the B team play! i'm sure the step up is huge and most don’t make the grade. I remember being thrown in against men when i was about 16 it was tough to say the least.

The problem is there's to many pre contracts and both enough money being spent. We have been standing still in every transfer window in the past 18 months while celtic are growing stronger in each passing one.
