Is it just me that thinks our supporters on this site are beginning to show a genuine fear of celts this season.

A few weeks ago it was Ange will be gone by Christmas and their fans will be rioting again.

A couple of weeks into the season and a poor start from us (and them) and we are already doomed according to some.

I expect to watch a few games from behind the settee again this season but these nail biting games get the adrenaline pumping, that's all part of the excitement is it not.

Of course we could be defeated and lose the championship this season, but it will not be the first and certainly won't be the last unfortunately.
I will still be cheering on our team regardless, hope most of you guys will be doing the same.

Cheers and on to tomorrows game Guys.

We're a fickle bunch Billy.
I was on here last week saying that because they beat a poor Dundee team, and they're spending money on players, it doesn't all of a sudden set some sort of benchmark! Just like us, they have been put out the Champions league, won one, and lost one league game and sit on the same points as us. The next derby will give us a clearer indication where we are this season, but for some reason, some of our fans have thrown in the towel and given up the chase 2 league games into the season. It's crazy!

I'm not worried about them.
Only 2 league games played and it's all soon and gloom.
Much better to see where we are after 22 games where we've played everyone home and away.
As BMGH01 says, they have had the same start as us and they are over the moon.
We are raging at our start as standards, performance and application from the players haven't been good enough.
I would much rather be in our position where we know there is more to come.

With you on that all the way BMGH01 mate.

It's really hard to understand why some look to have have given up already a couple games into the season tho.

Cheers and hope we do well tomorrow.

You are so right Bluebilly. One swallow doesn't make a summer. Sure, we had a disappointing start but Malmo were 14 games into their season and aren't a bad team. The loss to Dundee United was a shock but I think some of our players are either not up to speed yet or for one or two have had their heads turned by transfer speculation. As for Celtic, they lost to Hearts, beat an unknown Czech team and still shipped two goals to Hearts at the weekend. In between we've thumped Livingston and Dunfermline, scoring 8 and conceding none. There was no way we were going to romp the league undefeated like we did last season. Celtic were always going to try and come back at us. I think Gerrard and his team will steady the ship. It is where we are come Christmas that will give us the first indication of where we are this season. Stay safe lads and follow, follow we will. Oh, and come on AZ!

Celtic have not played anyone of quality yet this season, beaten by midtjiland and hearts. Beat dundee, jablonec and hearts they still leak goals. Tonight they will face their toughest test against AZ. Nothing to fear we have 3 games to gather momentum before we play them and we will beat them.

I'm actually a bit more worried about us standing still and allowing them back in it. We don't have the finances they have unfortunately leading to them closing the gap but I'm still confident we can win the league this season.

Exactly MPH! What we've got to understand is Rangers are the benchmark for this season, not them.
I remember back in the 93/ 94 season, the one after we were one victory away from the Champions league final, we were knocked out the champs league qualifier by Levski Sofia. In the league we won 3, drew 3, and lost twice in our first 8 games. I don't need to tell yous how the league finished that season, do I? Slow starts happen, but to raise the white flag after 2 league games is ridiculous! Some fans need to have a word with themselves.

Been thinking about this guys and have come to the conclusion that we expected to continue where we left off last season (myself included) and the poor start has stunned and hurt some of us, some a lot more than others tho.

I can now understand how some who have taken it so badly are much more in despair than those of us who are not prepared to accept defeat until the bitter end.

Celtic have played nobody yet, and even their most die hard fans will tell you that the defence is paper thin. I certainly don't fear them and still think that "ange" will not last the season. Once we hit some form we will blow them away again.

I think the whole Celtic squad is thin Dothebouncy and a few injuries leaves them in trouble.

You've hit the nail on the head BlueBilly.
After an undefeated domestic league campaign and a decent run in the Europa League last season, I think we all thought the logical step for this team was to qualify for the CL and continue unbeaten domestically.
But when a few of our first team regulars under perform, the results are there for all to see.
The good thing is we know they are capable of more.

I'm with Sweep on this one. My only concern is our own complacency! The time to strengthen is when you are onto and hopefully before the end of the Transfer window we will have done that. I try not to think of the other lot.
