Someone asked good question yesterday that I've not seen reply for. Who is the current RB in the academy team. As 3rd choice natural right back at club they should have great opportunity of forcing themselves into current first team squad. Appreciate he may only be 16 or 17 years of age but regardless of age this is a great opportunity. .

You not missing anything mate, we need cover in that position and by playing baloguin at right back we can be weaker in the middle.

It’s an honest question from Bankie and I think we’d all like to see some youth players pushing for a start.

Thanks for that KJA9, I do support Rangers and follow our signings so I understand we have a new centre half. I also understand he is a right sided centre half and was signed more for cover / long term replacement for Goldson.

Doesn’t change the fact that yes baloguin can play and do well at right back however, we will be weaker in the middle and also need a right back to cover in case he gets injured.

The problem on this site is when a genuine question is asked like why do we only have 1 player to cover right back its taken as a criticism of Balogun. It's not we need cover for both fb positions.
