They needed a result last night, but what has went wrong this season? What's your take on it mate?

{Ed001's Note - injuries, no team can cope with the 3 first choice centre-backs out injured at any time. Look at how Burnley's season got off to a rocky start with their first-choice pairing out and Sheff Utd struggled after losing their best centre-back. Even further back, Man Utd were lost without Rio while he served his drugs ban and there are many other examples throughout history. In a normal season it wouldn't have got so bad, but having to play so many out of position and run them into the ground has caused tiredness to catch up with the midfield as well.}

Ed as a liverpool fan can you realistically see liverpool wanting Gerrard in the next 5 to 10 years. yes granted he's done wonders at gers and a liverpool legend but with liverpools appeal to get much bigger and more experienced manager whenever klopp leaves. what's your thoughts.

{Ed001's Note - I think it will depend totally on what happens in the next few years, but probably not quite yet. I don't think it would be the right thing to come back for him, by the time he returns as manager there will be a large proportion of new fans. It would be like Dalglish's return for a second spell, when the morons in the support turned on him, rather than the scummy little **** Suarez who caused all the problems. If the greatest hero the club has ever seen, in Dalglish, can be sacked, then Gerrard is probably best waiting until he is fully sure he is ready. Honestly I am not sure the modern day football fan deserves a club legend anyway, they are ingrates with short memories.}

Many of the "ingrates" on here claim to have supported the team for 50 years so hardly a modern phenomenon.

Ed, I'm sure that every club in the country have fans who are loyal and respectful, fans who haven't a clue and everything in-between.

The bigger the club and the more history the bigger the problem with opinions I guess.

We all look around us and think that we know best about our own club/ manager/ players/ tactics but only a select few of us do!
