C.V. is a dreadful thing but I don't side with those on here who sympathise with Celtic players. As a club, Celtic should be ashamed of themselves. They are still issuing statements denying they did anything wrong going to Dubai. Are they stupid, arrogant or don't they give a ****? There is no way their trip to Dubai can be justified, let alone their apparent behaviour while there. The game v Hibs tonight shouldn't go ahead, it should have been cancelled by the SPFL/ SFA and the points awarded to Hibs. That's never going to happen though eh? What a disgrace of a club.

Doiger it's an absolute disgrace no sympathy whatsoever, we're constantly hung out to dry and worst possible punishment.

They currently deserve all they get, a club like no other right enough.

Mind they forced St mirren to play without a keeper?

Fixed a vote with Dundee sweeteners?

Supporters continually flaunting C.V. rules to protest and gather at grounds?

Their players going on a jolly to dubai or boli to Spain?

Videos surfacing of their rancid manager drinking with not a care in the world?

There's supporters a disgrace, the green brigade a joke, their manager is a tramp, a board of sheisters, yet we are continually the bad ones?

I think not, it's time we get the boot into this shower.

I don't think anyone is sympathetic to the Celtic players - I think most are passing on their best wishes in a health capacity?
The trip was a PR disaster. But when you have an inept SFA / SPFL in all matters regarding governance of the game then these type of issues arise.
The game can't be cancelled and points awarded to Hibs if Celtic can put out a side.
Apparently Hibs have already been asked if they want to postpone the game due to any potential risks to their players.

If anyone can tell me of any other professional club that went abroad for a training camp/ Bevy session please share.

The rest of the Scottish game will be made to suffer for it but.

In general terms, I have zero sympathy for the club, they have lied to facilitate a break for their players and backroom staff. How can they claim they were on a training break when a guy who is out for three months with a bad knee injury was there?

What they have done though is put the health of their players and staff at risk. It could be argued that they have put their lives at risk! It could further be argued that they are now risking the health and lives of other folk by allowing this game to go ahead tonight - Hibs have asked for further tests to be carried out and the SPFL have decided not to do it! Honestly, this is a complete dereliction of duty, and the ridiculous thing is that if Hibs were to refuse to play quoting C.V. regulations, the SPFL would hammer them and give Celtic the points!

Nothing but a complete and utter omnishambles! Heads should roll for this, within Celtic and at the SPFL/ SFA - they have allowed this situation to develop instead of just saying "no, you can't go to Dubai! "

Gazza. You've hit the nail on the head with your post. A rough outline of the outlaw outfit over there. But they get away with it. Their dodgy tactics aswell - we all know fine well that they're trying to do as much damage as possible to get the league called off. They can't win the league this year even if they really wanted to and so the only remaining option is to use underhanded, off-field tactics. It's actually disgusting the way Celtic and their supporters have behaved this season. I'm ready to boycott Scottish football for good if they aren't rightly punished. Good sportsmanship and all that. The only ones who have ever brought the Scottish game into disrepute is Celtic. They know it. We know it. The whole footballing world knows it.
