What’s all this talk about Rangers being interested in signing Van Veen? Surely this is just rumours. He can’t get his place at the club he’s at for goodness sake, and they’re a small provincial club.

This rumour is being driven by the Celtic fans. There’s no danger of him being at Ibrox unless it’s to play against us, going to Aberdeen from what I heard.

Its total nonsense based on an interview the player himself supposedly did (one where I’m guessing he was surely taking the p.) where he claimed Rangers wanted to sign him last year and we still do but he chose not to sign for us and that he is a hero in Scotland and that he got mobbed everywhere he went. Most delusional tosh I’ve ever read.

The rumour is being driven by him, he keeps mentioning us in interviews . He`ll end up back at Motherwell probably. Its the only place he has ever been successful.
