I read that he would be 2nd choice to a guy from league 1, because the call up is after the cut off date the French club may refuse him permission to go, and they’d be legally correct. If that’s the case then we could also do the same with dessers mate.

John, apparently that’s the case mate.
They need to have notified the governing body and players club before certain date to meet rules about releasing players.
Apparently that date has past.

Most clubs likely allow the player. If he wants, to go and represent his country.

Yes they can change the players but the club are not required to release though as that date hads past.

Cool Stevie. Dessers and rangers were notified that he was one of three players on standby when squad was reduced to 25.

My opinion is he would be missed. He doesn’t help himself at times but the stick he gets is way OTT.
