We have asked Kilmarnock re the availability of Daniel Armstrong. Supposedly he was watched at Raith Rovers whilst we were watching Kevin Nisbet a few years ago. Talk that it might be a swap involving Lewis Mayo.

Beale has spoken to Cantwell and Josh Onomah. Both have agreed deals in principle. There is talks between clubs to try and agree deals for this window, however Norwich initially quoted £4m and Fulham are asking for £2m for on Onomah.

Dion Sanderson is wanted this window as there are concern re Kings development, he’s been placed back in the B team at the moment. Sands is likely to return to NYC however there is a break clause in the loan contract where we are required to pay £500k.

Helander is likely to be released closer to the end of the window. Rehab is going well, plan is he will be with Malmo for their pre season prior to season starting beginning April.

Kent talks are progressing well however he is still considering options and would be open to a move down south should the right opportunity arrive.

Morelos is a straight no. Club are dragging their heals as is Morelos’s camp. Deal offered by the club is actually less than current deal and includes performance related clauses.

Arfield 1 year extension and discussions ongoing re Ryan Jack over a 2 year extension.

He was always going to be around the B Team for the rest of the season once players returned from injury so there is no concern there he only played more than he was going to due to those injuries.

Would rather see King go out on loan, he is more than capable of playing in the SPFL, far better standard than the B team. But only if we sign another CB this window.

Brilliant info and also shows club now want Morelos to step up if he’s to get a new deal

As we say no one bigger than the club and puts that argument to bed
Morelos doesn’t dictate what he wants and he doesn’t dictate how plays anymore
Performance related clauses good decision by the club and offering less than he’s on ? ?

About time the club showed strength.

Josh and Cantrell would be great additions into the team this window along with Sanderson

Great info rfc, has anyone got inside knowledge of who this signing is that was ment to be close and could be ready to join the squad just before the aberdeen game or soon after? know it looks like it's not cantwell at the moment most likely in the summer or late in this window.

Surely we’re not paying 500k to get rid of Sands? He can do some sort of job against the rubbish in our league there’s no way he’s that bad I’d actively pay to cut his loan short. Or is it a 500k fee for the loan if we didn’t activate the buyout clause? Surely that would’ve been paid up front though if there was a minimum fee against the loan. Also no way I’d be paying millions for guys we could get for free in 6 months. Surely the game plan is get them tied down and then play it slow and low ball their clubs until the end of the month.

Agreed stig, he's not worth the 30k he's on just now nevermind a pay rise on a new contract. You're right he's got to work had to improve and performance related clauses are a masterstroke by the club. Maybe just maybe we might see a fit and lean goalscoring Morelos.

MW1872. I don't think King can Even though Both The First team and B Team are from the same club the thing makes it look unlikely he can go out on loan he's played in the top league and the Lowland league it's that is where I'm convinced me the Rules prevent him leaving on loan.

Think everyone agrees no point paying millions for guys out of contract in 6 months if club do this they are even more idiotic than I thought.

The squad is big enough and good enough to get us to end of season only if people get sold or move on should we buy.

And although bear didn't want any more loans it wouldn't be bad for a squad player to get us to next window.

Beale said we should be excited by the incoming signings as if he definitely knew who was coming. It appears nothing is set in stone at the moment and predicted signings are somewhat speculative, Cantwell being the most likely provided fee can be agreed. Have to say although I am optimistic I am not overly excited so far!

Like most I would be happier to wait to summer for the precontract players than pay out millions now that could be better spent on other players.

With all the players coming back from injury and no euro fixtures I feel the squad we have is not too far from what we need for this season. 1 or 2 just to give a boost to squad would be good enough for now.

There are no discussion under going with Ryan Jack. Beale wants to see more from Jack before they approach for discussions. Management know what Jack wants so there is no panic.

Confirmed, we offered £800k to Norwich, it was laughed at by Norwich. Negations seemed to have hit a major snag. Norwich has previous dealing with RW when he was DoF at Southampton re the Redmond deal, there’s been issues ever since.

Josh Onomah is Beales number one target for the number 6 role. Club are pushing however Fulham are insistent on fee being £2m.

No break clause in Sanderson therefore it’s unlikely this month.

Helander is away to Malmo, continuing rehab program atm with rangers and will join up with Malmo beginning February.

Bid has come in from West Ham for Connor Goldson as a replacement for Craig Dawson who is Wolves bound, £4m offered, club are said to be open to selling for £7m.

Arfield is after a 2year deal, club have offered a 1year deal.

GK is a position being considered for the summer. McGregor has been struggling with the intensity of late hence McLaughlin back in the picture.
