Reading the statistical analysis today of the season so far only confirms what we all see for ourselves ; the central defence is probably the worst in our history and the defence as a unit unfit for purpose
The tragedy is that we knew that at the end of last season. Which raises the question, why did Warburton and Weir not recognise this and prioritise the centre of defence in our summer signings? Or did they, but the Board failed to provide the necessary money?
We deserve answers, even more so given that today we are being linked, in relation to the January window, with, you've guessed it, another English midfielder!
I thought W and W did superbly last season, but am not impressed with the signing strategy, inflexibility of team structure and lack of a plan B when things don't go well in the games.
Beginning to worry that Warbs is a very limited one trick pony Give him till the winter shutdown as he deserves that time, but if there is no improvement action must be taken.
We are not in the position to waste scarce resources in the wrong hands. Anything less than second place on our budget is failure.

"Give him till the winter shutdown. " Are you for real? You want him binned in 3 and a bit months. To be replaced by who? There is no money - fact. Who do you suggest he is replaced by? Get real. Warburton needs a minimum of two full seasons in SPFL, that's,4 transfer Windows relying on budget deals.

would u rather he did what Brenda Rodgers Did last night? completely change the way his team play? abandon his style and philosophy and get beat? I would rather have a manager who believes in his philosophy and has the balls to stick what he believes in.

Seriously don't want to be changing manager this season- it's already got a similar feel to our first season in championship. Need stability not chaos.

BUT Warburton must improve, needs to be judged at end of season. This is his first real test and he's not passed it yet.

Honest Germanic largely agree with you but Warburton is reputed to work using stats and our defensive stats since the Cup semi are as bad as Dundee United last season. What has he done about it?
Our budget is greater than any club outside Celtic. Can you see that on the park?
Why does he offer no public explanation as to his failure to bring in quality central defenders?
How long should he get? How long de Stuart McCall get? How long did Paul Le Guen?
My point is that if he cannot see the problem, or admit there is one, how can he fix it!
I hope he succeeds but to give him two years is totally irresponsible
He doesn't have to overtake Celtic but he does have to beat Killie, Hamilton, Motherwell and the rest!
