lets say hypothetically that next year we are up in the premier league, we haven't signed anymore players and have the current squad that we are using, where do people see us finishing?

this is obviously just hypothetically as I can see us signing a few more players next year.

Making your presumptions, I'd say top three.

Hypothetically?

In first place, of course.

I don't see any reason why we couldn't challenge hearts and Aberdeen for second place. The real test will be if we get a premier league team in the cup. Hopefully we get a Hamilton or ross county just to see how we look and then if we dispose of them bring on ABERDEEN at ibrox full house place would be bouncing. i'm buzzing haha!!! WATP

If things continue on the park I would see no reason why we could not get top 3!

The team of last year would've been embarrassing! Relegation / Play off contenders for sure!

davie1980 last season you also got turned over three times by SPL teams which would indicate a mid table performance, however it has to be said Rangers do look better this season but best team in Scotland? We'll need to see come cups I suppose.

Gary75 you have won one game in Europe in your last 22, the only thing Rangers raise in Europe is a smile from the opposition when drawn with them. Even St Johnstone doubled that miserable tally in 8 days a few seasons back. You will have Scotland's net coefficient when you get back (I'm not childish enough to say "if", you will get back) but that coefficient pretty much solely has depended on Celtic results of late.

As things stand and if you qualify for Europe for next season which requires a Scottish Cup win or defeat to the league winners in the final and of course three full years of accounts (I'm not sure that is a definitely yet either). Then and only then will you be in Europe for next season and if everything else remains equal, you take your place in the seedings, somewhere between Sligo Rovers and NK Domzale, how proud you must be. But yeah you are the coefficient saviours we've all been praying for!

Hahahaha. You simply cannot be a rangers supporter in any shape or form ally, not after that comment. Two things to mention, firstly we beat hibs and St mirren, our two main rivals, comfortably without a loan signing in sight and a years additional playing time together can only make these guys better, secondly, if we will be nowhere next year without them why are you moaning as much as you are about them being signed on loan in the first place as that would suggest we might not even gain promotion without them which is utter tosh. Honestly, if you are a rangers supporter I'm surprised you're still around at all given how negative you must've been four years ago when all this kicked off if you're as cheery as you are now things are finally looking positive. Deary me.

We will finish in first place not hypothetically but factually

Unless Celtic dramatically improve and possibly replace their manager with the Malmo coach after they are dumped out CL . yet again.

2 signing windows between now and next season by which point we will have signed at the least 5/6 players upgrading the current squad.

Celtic are a bottom of EPL level team and Warburton is creating a mid table EPL level Rangers possibly slightly better than that with EPL loanees which will mean we will beat Celtic next season it is really that simple

I also think if we are lucky this year we may win the Scottish or League Cup depending on the draws we get and if Celtic get knocked out prior to the final. That said by next May we will be a year long bedded in team and the Xmas signings so Celtic can be beaten, I see nothing exciting or original in their playing style though they do have good players they are very predictable

I have been on here 3 years via george and KT so I will be here to gloat in the summer after our record breaking League win

Any Timmy detractors can slag this off to their hearts' content but if they are remotely honest then the Malmo game and Rangers new system of play must both be concerning them. No doubt they will deny this but personally I would start to worry in their shoes . Allan or Oduwa. no contest.

We are about to start the chase
