Paper in Newcastle saying big vuckic might be coming to Rangers

Rossw01

1.) 18 Aug 2015 12:13:51
Hope Not

2.) 18 Aug 2015 12:18:04
Unfortunately MW is stating otherwise in today's Evening Times

3.) 18 Aug 2015 12:29:29
mark warburton says he's not an option

4.) 18 Aug 2015 12:58:05
He's too slow to fit into Warburtons front three. He did ok on loan last season but was posted missing in both Motherwell games when we really needed him to shine.

Wish him well - slovan Bratislava are interested in him which would be a decent move for him.

5.) 18 Aug 2015 13:18:19
I would take him back in a minute. 22 years old good on the ball and looked like a good player in a very average Rangers team last season. He can score goals and always gives 100%. Don't know why some fans wouldn't want him

6.) 18 Aug 2015 13:20:59
well he cannot be any plainer or transparent with that statement

7.) 18 Aug 2015 15:29:35
Ball greedy and wasteful. Yes he scored 9 goals in a short period but believe there is better talent out there that MW is trying to bring in!

8.) 18 Aug 2015 16:42:57
Don't think he was greedy don't think he was wasteful as he was behind most of the good things we did last season. 9 Goals in something like 15 matches is a good return for a guy who was clearly not 100% and also playing with a poor side

9.) 18 Aug 2015 18:44:12
I was maybe a bit harsh but I think there were times where he has the opportunity to lay it on to others but tried 2 touches too much and the chance was over. The team at the moment have gelled and playing really well, I don't see where Harris would fit in. I also think its the end for Temps with all these loan attacking wingers we are signing!

03 Aug 2015 12:55:17
Whats everyone's thoughts on the stevie may rumours? There is a lot of talk on the Sheff wed pages that he's coming here. Personally I would only take him if it was a permanent signing don't see the point in a loan deal and that pushes some of the younger players down the pecking order. Thoughts bears?

Rossw01

1.) 03 Aug 2015 13:34:04
really don't fancy him but if he is to come better to be loan to see how he does but I don't think we need him or maybe not that type of striker but in warburton I believe up to him

2.) 03 Aug 2015 13:36:15
I think with 5 strikers already in the squad it's highly unlikely we will sign another unless Nicky Clark leaves and either Ryan Hardie or Calum Gallagher get sent out on loan.
In my opinion all we need is a defensive midfielder (Eustace) for away games or cup games against spl opposition and we will be fine.
Scott Allan will sign a pre contract in january and at a push we will sign cover for Tavernier at Right back, maybe a full back who is comfortable on either side.

3.) 03 Aug 2015 13:48:08
I agree, don't see the point of loan deal as we have enough players of our own. If it were with a view to making it permanent then that would be a different matter entirely. I do feel also that we have plenty of goals in our team and not just from the strikers. Maybe a bit more grit and creativity to put some steel into us and we'll be in good shape.

4.) 03 Aug 2015 15:42:41
Think Ian black is still up for grabs lol

5.) 03 Aug 2015 19:25:32
the only way we would grab him is with the throat

6.) 03 Aug 2015 20:54:21
Hey fellow bears, I really don't think a striker is a priority think waghorn will be good for 20 plus goals this season looks a quality signing, john eutace protecting the back four with us doing a lot of a attacking is a must will break up counter attacks etc would like a left winger also not sure abt temps tbh

7.) 04 Aug 2015 10:42:36
I don't think stevie May is good enought for you I think you have better already

Im under the impression that we will know what's happening with the King takeover bid in the next few days. I really hope this can get pushed through as i dint know how much more of this i can take. King will need 75% of current sharholders to vote FOR a share dilution. Ashaley owns 9% with easdales having proxy rights over a further 26% so that's 35% in total. Now bears do any of you think that King has done a deal with either ashley the easedales or either margarita or blue pitch? Because if he hasn't spoke to them or sounded them out then i don't think there's anyway to get this deal accepted. What do you think fellow bears???????

Rossw01

1.) 20 Oct 2014 12:18:21
Even if he gets agreement with the board they have to call an EGM (at least) giving four weeks notice ot effect a vote. Personally, I don't see a deal happening.

If DK does do a deal and puts in £16m for 51% he then has to offer all the other shareholders about 50p per share under the takeover code and I think there would be a lot of takers at the current price. That could mean finding another £25-40m with none of it going into the club.

I think this is all for show

2.) He doesn't need to offer 50p a share mate youve got that wrong. He just has to make AN OFFER of any kind. Why would he have to offer more treble what the shares are worth? because after a share issue that's what they will be worth.

3.) It's not just any old offer though. The takeover code is pretty clear that it is the highest price paid in the last 12 months that must be offered.

4.) Rossw01 i can't see dave king going to all the hastle and expence and time unless he knows he will be involved in some way i also read else where that he has had talks with the unknown share holders but we will just have to wait eh surely we won't have to wait much longer cause the funds are running out at ibrox

5.) StEddy can you show us all the prof of this? I highly doubt this would be the case mate are you trying to tell me that if a company is about to go bust and there share price is at 2p and i went in and bought a controlling stake through a new share issue then i would have to offer all exsisting share holders the highest price the share has been so for example 3 quid a share if that's been the highest price? AGAIN i think youve got this one wrong but please prove me wrong give us a website or link to see this on.

6.) This is the section from Takeovers Directive (2004/25/EC) (the “Directive”) by means of Part 28 of the Companies Act 2006

The following is a brief summary of some of the most important Rules:

When a person or group acquires interests in shares carrying 30% or more of the voting rights of a company, they must make a cash offer to all other shareholders at the highest price paid in the 12 months before the offer was announced (30% of the voting rights of a company is treated by the Code as the level at which effective control is obtained).

7.) Thanks for clearing that up FlyFifer. So this could infact cost King a fair bit more money

8.) Rossw01

Yip - an awful lot of money.

Note it also specifies "PERSON OR GROUP" which would prevent several people forcing through a takeover by stealth where none of them breach the 30% but their combined holdings were greater then 30%

9.) Thanks FF. Sorry Ross, I've not been on today or I would have answered myself

10.) If DK is serious about not giving a penny to the existing shareholders (Board) then they need a extra rights issue of 81,000,000 shares which he will buy up to get the 51% he wants buy he will then also need to offer to buy the original 81,000,000 shares at 50p a share so he will need to drum up £40, 500,000 for them as well !!!

Can't see him doing that somehow.

Who's going to finance him for that - it's noticeable that when he talks about investing, it's always as a front for other peoples money, not his own.

11.) Flyfifer its always other peoples money phhh were are you reading that or as jg would say don't believe everything you read in the newspapers

12.) If dave king is allowed to get involved he is a business man he will not be going in with his eyes shut ffs

Thats the report from scotsman what's your thoughts bears???

Graham Wallace has held secret talks with Dave King's UK based broker

Graham Wallace has held secret talks with Dave King's UK-based broker. The Sun have reported that the Ibrox chief executive and financial consultant Philip Nash were in London earlier this week. The pair met with an associate of King's and the UK advisor of the Castlemilk born tycoon. It's understood King is seeking assurances that a resolution for a new share issue will be on the agenda at next month's powderkeg AGM. The meeting is proof that King is still very much involved behind the scenes. King is looking to invest in the club but was unable to participate in last month's share initiative. (Sun)

Rossw01

1.) I posted the same story on the Banter page Rossw01 so I think it augurs well for Rangers. King can make his move after the AGM and I really think the ne'er do wells will take the money and run, if it is on offer. Fingers crossed!

2.) Ross - my first thought is take anything you read about rangers in a newspaper with a pinch o salt

Secondly I think if King does not own shares in Rangers by now he never will, shares were going for under 20p

thirdly King could easily have participated in the share issue, all he had to do was buy a handfull of cheap shares then apply for his rights plus take up any other spare shares, of which there was almost one million, that would have had him a foot in the door, and all money he invested would have been straight into RIFC not to any existing shareholder.

If he wants to influence the AGM then only shareholders can vote, and like the referendum, whoever has the most votes wins

that's my thoughts anyway

JG

3.) Jg dave king does not want to work with these conmen who have fecked us for millions of pounds also we should not believe anything we read in newspapers are you privy to information from these conmen you are saying never believe newspaper is this in defence of charlieboy still owing 2 million penny shares cause you said charlieboy had left the building for sure eh are you still as sure

4.) As I reported on a Roumers reply on 12 th September Dave King has not disappeared and has been working on things for some time but I could not find out what, now it's becoming clear will try and find out more !

Can someone please explain to me why we have let Darren McGregor go? I think that's crazy. He was a stand out last season and I think he is a better player than big rob kiren. Zalikus out the door next please he hopeless!!

Rossw01

1.) 24 Aug 2015 16:01:18
Rob kiernan looks more than decent but he's not great with the ball at his feet. I'd rather have mcgregor in the side than wilson. I agree we need to get rid of zaliukas and hopefully this happens and we then bring in a commanding centre half.

2.) 24 Aug 2015 16:27:02
Ross I thought I read a couple of days ago zalluzcan had been moved on already,?

3.) 24 Aug 2015 18:18:26
darren mcgregor at the age of 30 wants to play week in week out he's not in mr warburtons plans a few others will go on loan or permanent deals

29 Jul 2015 10:27:24
I don't understand people saying 500-600k for alan that doesn't make sense to me. I feel we are strong enough to win the championship and we can get alan on a pre contract in January so why waste 500-600k on the guy? Its not like we can afford that kind of mnoney.

Rossw01

1.) 29 Jul 2015 12:42:43
If Scott Allan does not sign for us I strongly believe he will sign for someone else now. I don't care how much of a bluenose the guy is if the rumours were true that Celtic wanted him at the end of last season I think he would be playing there. So for me the risk of giving Hibs 600k for a guy who I think has the talent to become a Full international. Is well worth it especially if we can get back 5 times that in a few years if he does well. Still I'd have Lewis McLeod over him any day of the week.

2.) 29 Jul 2015 13:38:47
If celtic wanted him then they would have taken him already mate. He has had 1 good season in the championship nothing more. I also believe he is/could be a great player for us but I don't see teams queuing up to try and sign him. If we don't get him then he will sign a pre contract in January. The only other team that has shown intretst in him has been Dundee utd so I don't have any fears of losing him. 600k is far top much to pay for a player in the championship who has had 1 good season and we can get him for zip at the end of the season

20 Jul 2015 13:26:42
boyd smith moshni big jig foster black hutton daly simosen

Sure people you can't tell me that the players we have brought in are going to be any worse than the rubbish we have let go?

27 Oct 2014 13:24:42
The way i feel right now is by far the worst I've felt as a Rangers fans. i'm not saying i'm giving up i would never do that but i just don't know were to Turn now. I really don't know what to think of ashley. he's a billionaire so i really don't think he would be trying to take us over to screw us out of 10-15 million pounds or whatever. I also don't believe for one second that he has team up with The easdales etc as they are small fry to him. I wish the man would just come out and make a statement. Mo matter what watp. Chin up bears we will get there eventually

Rossw01

1.) Yes it is rather depressing right now and like yourself i do feel like giving up, but will soldier on supporting the team as always starting by going along tomorrow to show my support as the one's who stay away are as much to blame for this financial mess we currently find ourself in, and again this guy from the SoS is back in the press giving it this talk of this and that why doesn't he and the rest say unless it's Dave King then it's nobody we'd rather the clubbed die unless it's him.

2.) 27 Oct 2014 15:13:21
the fans are not to blame for this boards financial mess so stop blaming the fans that are not going to the games they have been rangers supporters for years and still are the club is a shambles how on earth can u turn town 16 million then going acept 2 million secured against edmiston house and albion car park like ashley hasn't got enough from our club already for pennies blame the board not fellow fans if u can not see this then good luck to u a lot fans are sick of being tain for mugs time to wake up fans going to games is paying the wages for board and bonuses what do we get in return nout not even a player signed for any money they are laughing at fans that turn up at game

3.) 27 Oct 2014 15:18:49
@1) As someone who very recently gave up travelling up for games I have to disagree with you mate on the point that the fans who have been staying away are as much to blame for our financial woes, the last two seasons have seen Ibrox packed to the rafters on most weeks where did that get us we were still potless come the start of this season.

4.) @3) I understand where you are coming from regarding traveling up from Southampton i think? and reading my post and and others I've posted yes i do seem to blame the fans a lot and for that i offer my full apologizes. But i do feel as tho that if it's not Dave King then the fans groups in particular don't want anyone.

5.) Look we wanted change we've got change ashley however much u like or dislike will not be associated with failure when he took over at newcastle it was a bigger can of worms than what exists at ibrox so for the sake of the club let's get on with things

6.) 27 Oct 2014 18:06:06
Fans to blame ??? Rather try the board who managed to squander £70m in 18 months !!! We are now at the mercy of a man who owns another football club, has only 8.6% shares in Rangers running in tandem with a bus conductor who has about 5% shares but controls about another 21% ----- just have a look at what they have now managed to stitch up between them . Tell me what are the supposed fans representatives thinking of doing about this sorry state of affairs ?????

20 Oct 2014 16:19:37
What % of shareholders would Mike Ashaley need to get this EGM accepted?

Rossw01

1.) 20 Oct 2014 17:14:27
They have to accept it if it is a properly formed request as it is requested by over 5% of the shareholders, ie himself. If the board refuse it they have to have a vdery good reason or it will end up in court

2.) So anyone at any point can request and EGM if they own more than 5%??? are you sure???

3.) That's correct. Remember the travails Paul Murray et al had to go to last year to get their EGM request signed by 5%? Then they accepted it being put off as being close to the AGM

KT

I personally don't think Waghorn would score 20 goals for us in the top league.

He had 2 great chances against st johnstone and missed both of them he has scored 14 goals so far and at least half of them have been penalties.

Scoring in the championship against part time teams is a totally different ball game compared to playing against good defences and full time teams.

Look at nicky clark. 40 goals for QOTS and he can't kick his own backside playing for us against better position.

Hes not a natural striker in my opinion. We need to bring in a proven goal scorer for next season.

I agree. Look at the difference from last season its night and day. Yes it was a bad result against St Johnstone however that was a 1 off game and I don't think there was a massive difference between the 2 teams. We hit the bar scored and waghorn missed a sitter. I do believe we will need to sign 2 new center halfs for next season but going forward we look good

I agree that waghorn is a great player very professional and does a great job for us. But in my opinion he's not a striker. I think he will do more for us playing outwide and he's wouldn't score on a regular basis in the SPL.
