Don't know how true Rangers are rumoured to have had an interest in Spanish sensation striker Borja Baston from Eiber Anyone else heard that rumour?

Kaz

1.) 24 Jan 2016 20:30:55
Eibar don't own him he's in loan from atletico madrid.

Hes 1 of top scorers in la liga so no chance he will sign for us.

2.) 24 Jan 2016 20:47:37
So long as we don't have to pay real money for him we might have a chance!

3.) 24 Jan 2016 23:01:35
Maybe the board will test the water with a £2500 bid for the pair to be paid in instalments!

4.) 25 Jan 2016 00:37:16
These jokes are getting annoying now I think. The board and management are doing well with the transfers. I think if diagouraga or o'halloran were worth the money everyone thinks a bid would be made.

5.) 25 Jan 2016 10:39:11
agree wholeheartedly TJRFC.

6.) 25 Jan 2016 15:54:08
Tjrfc, I believe that O'Halloran is worth what we are being told St Johnstone value him at. He is a quality young player that can only benefit from playing under Warburton.

Not so sure about Diagouraga but he is history however I do believe that we still need a quality defensive midfield player.

As for the jokes, I fear that they will continue until we see King putting his money where his mouth is!

7.) 25 Jan 2016 19:01:32
Guys lighten up its just a joke yer starting tae act like celtic supporters, but we've been doing business this month and spent NOTHING, Zero, not a penny does this not tell you something, Accrington guys yes money in the summer!

8.) 26 Jan 2016 01:49:41
Bongo why spend money if we don't need to? We've done good business so far and don't really need o'halloran so I don't see why people seem to want him. Only impressed me against us and hasn't scored a lot throughout his career.

9.) 26 Jan 2016 18:23:31
Trfc, we have needed a defensive midfield player since Warburton's arrival and have had to play Halliday out of position to meet that need.

20 Aug 2015 13:08:33
I hear Rangers are about to add much needed quality to our coaching staff

Craig Flannigan will be newly appointed as Head of Science and Fitness, which is great news and can only improve things around our development

Craig Flannigan is also a Rangers fan and is one of the best Fitness instructors in Scotland's game

Kaz

1.) 20 Aug 2015 13:30:11
As in Craig Flannigan the Hibs head of Sport Science? How did you find this out Kaz? No wonder Stubbs is whining like kettle!

2.) 20 Aug 2015 14:02:41
Yeah TeddyoftheSouth that is the very man!

Smart if you ask me he already knows that even his work can't create miracles at Hibs

Losing Scott Allan is probably a factor and probably knows that even of Hibs get to playoffs the chances are quite slim in them gaining promotion to SPL

He wants to hone his skills at a club he supported and has bigger opportunities with Rangers focusing on Development

3.) 20 Aug 2015 16:21:48
I find that worrying given some of Stubbs comments about how he trained his squads fitness preseason and the number of injuries they had.

4.) 20 Aug 2015 18:32:53
Daily Record now reporting the part about Craig Flannigan. Hope Stubbs is raging.

18 Aug 2015 14:51:34
Arsenal midfielder youngster Gedion Zelalem will be signing on a years loan

Rangers are also trying to get Chelsea 's play maker John Swift

Kaz

1.) 18 Aug 2015 15:53:02
What a brilliant young player Zelalem is! Fantastic signing for MW & DW!

2.) 18 Aug 2015 16:00:19
Heard for the last few days about Swift, not looking likely now, as Warburton did say he has one more very exiting loan signing to make.I think Zelalem fills that vacancy! Would be nice to nick a young striker on loan from one of the big boys though.

3.) 18 Aug 2015 23:36:12
I thought warbs said a couple of players, if swift is coming in too I guess it would mean no deal for eustace maybe?! I see a few of our young lads getting loaned out if we get the 2 and/or eustace

15 Aug 2015 00:53:55
So Rangers have signed the Tottenham pair

Mark Warburton is still assessing John Eustace fitness and will sign him on a 1 year deal if all goes to plan

Warburton has expressed that there may be a couple more come in the door depending whether we can get players on trial quick enough in the next week or so

Looking likely that it will be a striker on loan deal with opportunity to buy

Also looking at Craig Sibbald from Falkirk

Kaz

1.) 15 Aug 2015 10:45:23
He hasn't said he wants another couple in subject to trials. He has said Eustace and 1 loan signing that is virtually already agreed. Hoping an attacking central mid/striker

29 Jul 2015 14:56:56
I know Ibrox is a stunning spectacle but there was talk that it was getting fully refurbished!?

I'm also led to believe there was a possibility of filling all four corners and having two screens sitting on top of Broomloan and Copland!

This surely would take the capacity near 60,000?

Kaz

1.) 29 Jul 2015 16:43:42
Wait till we are back in the SPL Kaz then deal with that most important thing is firstly get promotion :D

2.) 29 Jul 2015 17:30:56
at the minute we can't get 40.000 in that's in futre filling the corners in would not be worth it just now be content with upgrading toilets

3.) 29 Jul 2015 17:58:48
Not high on the boards list to do I would imagine. let's try and fill it with 51,000 on a regular basis first. The Stadium needs a revamp but it doesn't need an extra 8000 seats that's for sure.

4.) 29 Jul 2015 18:05:31
I'll settle for all the foilage being ripped from the facade of the Main Stand right now, maybe get Ally in to earn some a that 14k a week.

5.) 29 Jul 2015 18:58:49
We should have filled in the corners 20 years ago and instead of loosing millions every year on signings we couldn't afford we would have made the money to pay for those players. As much as I dislike the shite they did up there stadium when we were burning money like there was no tomorrow we went tits up deserted by those responsible sold to someone even worse while the manky mob are going strong and fair to them they certainly made the better decision than sir nae legs so defo fill in the corners and increase our income in the long term

6.) 31 Jul 2015 11:59:39
I've been saying for years (before admin) that we had to fill the corners in but I was led to believe that due to the front of Ibrox being a listed building we were not allowed to touch it.

May not mean that it can't be modified but does mean that if someone wanted to knock Ibrox down and build a whole new stadium, then that part would have to remain.

7.) 31 Jul 2015 20:06:38
Best stadium in Britain

Gotta say that so far so good from Mark Warburton and Co

He came with a good CV so expected him to be good!

So ever thankful for him choosing our Club, having said that we are still a massive club on paper!

I think I am falling in love with him

Early days yet but so far brawwww!

Hope he keeps the lads grounded and primarily himself!

Looks a promising Manager

I just want to see him get this team bigger and better, where they belong!

If he is a success at the top and more, we ought to do anything to keep him as I reckon he may the best thing since Walter Smith!

Aforementioned, a few good Managers in my time, Graeme Souness, Dick Advocaat and Alex McLeish here's thinking that MW CAN leapfrog these great Managers!

C'mon Warburton!!

Kaz

1.) 27 Aug 2015 10:20:07
Know what Kaz he's a brilliant manager and I really hope we can keep a hold of him for a while. He's a self confessed Spurs fan and I dread to think what might happen should they come a calling. He will be being watched right now make no mistake about that to see how he gets on at a bigger club and if he's worth a punt. I would say MW is a very honourable man and will see out his contract but if your boyhood team knocks it's very hard to say no. I would like to see him boss us beyond what he's initially signed up for assuming of course he continues in this manner. Yes we'll lose some, it's inevitable but I don't remember the last time I felt such energy and desire around Ibrox, Rangers, the fans and well, just about everything connected with our great institution.

2.) 27 Aug 2015 14:34:55
Listen the guy has only been in charge for a handful of games, wait for a season to judge him.

3.) 27 Aug 2015 17:47:25
Judge him next year when up against 11 Top Tier Professionals.

4.) 27 Aug 2015 18:44:38
You misunderstand Memaself, I am praising the man and all he has done and am just wondering what may lie in the future for us should he continue in this manner.

5.) 27 Aug 2015 20:19:10
I understand , but just now is a honeymoon period, new manager & new players, results going your way, but winter months travelling to & playing in potato fields could quickly bring everyone back to earth.

6.) 27 Aug 2015 22:30:30
He also wears a magic hat 😊

27 Aug 2015 01:25:03
Just wanna say, that I don't mind if we get Celtic in today's draw!

Celtic are expected to win and should be, as are champions of Scottish football and play Champions League football (Oh I forgot they got knocked out hahahahaha)

Anyway jokes aside, if we were to play our biggest rivals I think we would give them a closer game that people would anticipate!

At this current time we would probably be short of winning but I reckon we would show that we have come a long way from the very bottom of Scottish futba

Kaz

1.) 27 Aug 2015 12:47:01
Three teams I want this year are motherwell, hearts and Celtic, in that order. Only way to gauge where we are and what advancements have been made is to test ourselves against the three teams that played us off the park at certain stages last year. That would provide a tangible barometer of the progress under warburton.

2.) 27 Aug 2015 12:48:48
be careful what you wish for - I don't think we are ready -yet! - to take on SPL teams. we struggled last week against Hubs ffs!
slowly slowly catchee monkey - win the league first - NEXT year we can go to town.

22 Aug 2015 11:45:45
So good to be a Rangers fan right now

I won't to say after the loan signing of Gedion Zalalem from Arsenal that is transfers complete

Somehow, I reckon there is unfinished business and that we may indeed add another one signing to the list, that being a clinical finisher!

I reckon MW will find out who has a future at Rangers after year one but obviously will give players a chance to prove they're good enough!

Already leaving us with his contract being terminated will be Marius Zaluskas and a few more may follow come January!

Kaz

18 Aug 2015 02:00:42
When are we going to get some of the important roles (below) in place?

Thus no doubt allowing a more professional outlook and as a result will help bring more quality and a brighter future for the club

Position Name

Manager: Mark Warburton
Assistant Manager: David Weir
First team technical support coach: NONE
First Team Coach: NONE
Youth coach and Development: Ian Durrant
Captain: Lee Wallace
Honorary Life President: John Greig
Doctor: Paul Jackson
Physiotherapist: Steve Walker
Goalkeeping Coach: Jim Stewart
Head of Sports Science (fitness, masseurs and conditioning: NONE
Head of recruitment and analysis: NONE
Scouting Network and International Scouting: NONE
Kit Controller: Jimmy Bell
Video and Performance Analyst: Steve Harvey

Kaz

1.) 18 Aug 2015 06:15:52
1st team coach isn't important as Warburton and weir are doing the coaching. Scouting network needs sorted.

2.) 18 Aug 2015 08:39:41
Do you think we really need them just now? Added expense to a club leaking money just now. When we get back into the spl we will probably bring in sports scientists, scouting etc.

3.) 18 Aug 2015 08:44:17
We'll be bang in trouble if we don't get one a they"first team technical support coaches"in.I think Warbs likes putting the cones out himself anyway.

4.) 18 Aug 2015 08:54:15
i think these sort of things as well as more minor staffing and stadium maintenance is where the boards money will go. We have spent what we need to go up and a hopefully have a little aside for a few signings next summer

5.) 18 Aug 2015 09:14:39
Isn't Warburton heading the sports science as well? that's his specialty.

6.) 18 Aug 2015 10:20:58
Remember Michael Mols et al volunteering for International scouting? I hope we can develop this further to bring young european talent here. eg Gattuso who went on to captain Italy.

17 Aug 2015 17:00:36
So Newcastle are offloading Haris Vuckic and been linked with Rangers and Antalyspor of Turkey

Rangers can get him practically for nothing if they are willing to pay his weekly wages of £5, 500!

You heard it here

Kaz

1.) 17 Aug 2015 18:44:23
Not convinced by him, couple of good games then he was pretty mediocre in a very mediocre team. Perhaps MW will get the best out of him if interested.

2.) 17 Aug 2015 18:53:47
considering danny wilson is on about 6k don't think that is a problem

3.) 17 Aug 2015 19:14:22
5.500 per week.no chance.where has he proved himself for that kinda money.never made it at newcastle and needs to reserect his career somewhere.lets face it u know what he gona do.run down wing then cut in on his left foot

4.) 17 Aug 2015 20:31:38
Everybody knew what he was gonny do davie, but stopping him is a different matter.

TheCampbell My honest opinion is that we wait until we are in the SPL and we can buy a 1m player We can always take him on loan with possibility of buying the year after

Kaz

At this stage, it's 1m we don't have and I think his value is around 600k given the fact that Sheff Wed purchased him for 750k and he is no longer in their plans

Yes heard that it may be Craig Cathcart due to Zal being surplus to requirements and that Mcgregor has chosen to play regular football

Rangers are not to sign a striker as there are many players that can find goals from midfield along with the players we have upfront!

Not too fussed as I believe Warburton knows the what is required!

Damn happy with the way things are going at the club and want us to continue getting better with every game!!

We have a few boys that can be slotted into the left back position so not at all concerned

Goalkeeper looking better the last few games

What I like about Foderingham is he is a tall commanding keeper and is good at grabbing the ball SAFE HANDS

Yes defensively we can look suspect sometimes! We will get that sorted out I am sure

Still reckon we can do with bring in another striker before the deadline but if not I am sure we will be fine up until January
