So watched the B team game last night and given this site is about opinions I'll give mine.

Good to see that the playing style is the same all the way throughout the age groups, miss multiple chances to go in front then get a goal against us and at half time decide we want to actually play football. ?? Reminded me of so many 1st team games this season.

There are definitely some decent players but for one Ure I think from what I have heard others say about him is over rated.

Mcausland needs to learn to tame that aggressiveness but I liked to see the right.

Lyall I thought played not bad seen him get stuck in, make some runs and passes.

Rice looks a real talent at only 16 and think he played well.

Lowry is good but at times I feel tries too much.

The Rocco vatta or whatever for them also seemed like a decent talent.

Which brings up a question I suppose, I remember when both of the big 2 here would have at least a decent Scottish contingent within the squad and generally for a quality youngster the progression would be play well for your team for a season or two then go to one of the old firm and then possibly onto the EPL or wherever. This no longer seems to be the case and I feel we don't give our own actual Scottish and homegrown players a chance.

Although I understand this is due to multiple reasons, the talent pool and attitude of youths with him Scotland etc. But do we think we/ Scotland could implement some form of rule which would boost the Scottish game at a grass roots level and allow us to produce better players?

Kendo good post, I agree re ure, also can’t see mcausland or Fraser making it to regular first team

Problem is clubs I. Scotland not interested in b teams, the route for players to progress.

Kensington, let's be honest. We looked good in spells but reality is they have beaten us on all proper age groups.

Re the B Team, I thought that Yfenko looked good but is a year or so away from being even near the first team squad. Very rough around the edges and his discipline let him down. Lovelace looks like a good player though. Being honest, I didn't see anyone else that I would consider first team quality any time soon.

Have watched a few times now and Lyall has always been a standout, although has only made the bench once, I believe so still miles off the first team. Would agree Ure seems to be a bit rough around the edges. Does he need a loan? Lovelace showed some nice touches and seemed to relish the physical battle with their big CB. Outwith the obvious Lowry, Rice is the only other who seems nailed on to make the first team.

Can't in all honesty, dispute this statement. Davie Douglas, you're right, they have beaten us in every group but it is up to us now to stand up and react to that.

I do think we need a better system for bleeding young players with potential into the team.

Although Kensington is a place I believe, and definitely not me.

One thing I definitely expect to see less of is talking rubbish in press conferences etc and doing talking on the park.
