Question,
So why are footballer's paid weekly, last thing they need is weekly pay? Why not monthly?
is weekly just a unit to measure the players pay?

Outwith rangers celtic and aberdeen SPFL wages are poor considering the early retirement from the game.

The SPFL has little credibility outside of Scotland and as we see each season the top quality players move on. Personally I doubt that this will change given the Clowns that run Scottish Football and for that matter most of the Clubs.
In an ideal world Rangers and Celtic would join the EPL which is not likely to happen.

Is it a possibility that with this being a crucial and busy time for incoming transfers, also with both Kent and Alfie already on the books, that we concentrate on current business and deal with their extensions once we’re properly up and running?
