All the talk about signings, can't see us spending hardly anything unless we get champions league. All the money made last season will be settling the books from losing millions the 2 seasons before.

They keep going on about this business model, selling atleast one player a season so we can reinvest in bringing new players in. But we can't seem to get decent bids for any of our players. And letting our biggest assests contracts run down, is quite worrying aswel. As if we was to sell we wouldn't get top money for them.
I personally think gvb has maybe 4/ 5 million to spend just now which might increase if we qualify for champions league.

Nothing wrong with 5 million to spend with no champions league money and no players sold think of all the lost revenue due to C.V. all deferred wages needing payed all the transfer fees that get payed over years to be paid each year so to have 5 million plus without having to move a single player after all that is good imo wish we had more but we need to work within our budget if we get champions league cash would expect it to go to around 12 million.

Shut the club? A bit drastic barrowlad calm your jets.
Alot of people think because patterson sale and the europa league run we would have a lot to spend, but we dont. Our 3 biggest assests aribo kent morelos in their last year on contracts, so won't get anywhere near asmuch if we was to sell.

Ross Wilson stated at Gios introductory press conference that any money brought in for sold players would be reinvested in team, so Gio should have £13.5 million to spend at least ( Patterson plus Itten ) .

James how much debt are Rangers in? Just interested to see if you actually know.

Dont remember me mentioning anything about debt? Quite clearly says we lost nearly 40 million the 2 seasons before last. So the money made last season will be balancing the books.

I doubt that any of us know the true financial position so it is all guesswork. As for not making any money on Transfers, we did not too bad on Patterson and from what I remember, Gerrard was quite insistent that we didn't sell any of our top players last Season which is why we now see Aribo, Kent and Morelos approaching the final year of their contracts.

For what it is worth I believe that Morelos will sign a new contract, no inside information, just gut feel.

James it’s all very well knowing sfa about finances but at least pay attention before commenting.

You say we lost £40m which had to be balanced.

You must have been on the moon not to read that the investors covered all debts by converting loans to shares.
