Disappointed not to win the league again this season, for me we should have won it.
Yes Celtic have improved this season but their not at our level quite yet, but if we do not improve our team this time, they may pass us next season, if they decide spend big.
Unfortunately we do not have the money to spend like they have, but I still think we have better pulling/ attracting power than Celtic.
We really need to win the Europa league or the money won't be available to generate a war chest big enough for Gvb to keep us ahead of them next time around!
Time will tell.

Said this on the other page mate, have the money they bring in will go on perm deals for Jota and Carter Vickers. So basically they are a good chunk of change down and the team is the same as the one we are competing with just now. There wages won't be cheap either and will need factored in and when we tote up all the cash from this euro run the gap won't be nearly as bad as you initially think.

Eggman there will definitely be money available. We made almost 30 mill from europe this season. we also made 16 mill in transfers. On top of probably kent aribo poss morelos etc all moving onm and we can also still qualify for champions league ourselves.

Great post Paul86, we will make closer to £40 Million for the Europa League this season if we win on Thursday, plus the other money as you say, and the gate money from the relaxation of the C.V. restrictions.

Paul/ Irvger, I am assumming you are counting TV and gate money in your calculations, even then I don't see the 30/ 40M from this seasons Europa campaign.

Yes bluetoon i am counting gates and tv. Same way the 40 mill champions league money is counted. So far we have 12 mill prize money. 9 home games at over 2 million per home game. And tv money as to which i am not sure how much it is. Entry to the champions league is 13 mill for groups so tge 40 mill bounty is an all in figure.
