For those of you who are still belittling Gerrard's achievement in his 3 years at Ibrox:-
In the last game of the 2017/ 2018 season ( before Gerrard took over ) this side drew 5-5 with Hibs.
Alnwick
Tav Bates Martin Halliday
Holt Rossiter
Candeias Gross Murphy
Cummings
Subs: Windass, Herrera, Hodson, Alves, O'Halloran, Kelly, Docherty
Whoever gets the gig after Gerrard will inherit this side that beat Ross county 4-2 at Ibrox.
McGregor
Tav Goldson Balogun Bassey
Aribo Lundstram Bacuna
Hagi Fashion Kent
Subs: McLaughlin, Kamara, Morelos, Arfield, Patterson, Jack, Roofe
Who got the better deal? Gerrard and the mess he took on?
Or the future manager with a Championship winning squad?
A team, Rangers, who are now ranked 43rd in Europe from the 243rd when Gerrard took over.
A team who have qualified for the EL Group Stages 4 years in a row ( whereas the previous incumbents were getting knocked out of Europe by Progress ) .
He also took on Celtic, a team who were previously taking 4 and 5 goals of us and they hadn't been beat against us in 12 matches.
Under Gerrard the tide was turned as we are now unbeaten in 7 against them and an overall record of W8, D1, L3.
A team currently top of the league.
A team currently 4 points clear.
A lot to live up to / continue in the right direction.
Don't let your anger at the way he left cloud your judgement for what he has achieved in his time as Rangers manager.
Just remember he delivered the one that everyone wanted - 55 - whilst leaving the playing side in a very healthy state to what he inherited.
Thanks again, Gerrard, the memory and elation of 55 will live with me forever.

Aye ok spud we get your a SG fan but this is not going change my opinion or many more fans opinions. I guy disappeared into the night and left us in the lurch halfway through a massive season financially for us.

Excellent post MPH. Not all improvements were just on the pitch. we’re much much stronger from his tenure.

Aye ok Sabbatical Sweep1, we get you are not a SG fan but this is not going change my opinion or many more fans opinions. The guy left us in a decent position (top, 4 points clear ) 13 games into the season and has left the new manager solid foundations to gain the financial rewards on offer for us. 👍.

Good post MPH, maybe he left as he felt with no money he could not take us any further. I think we should be grateful for the improvements on and off the park. Remember it was a gamble for him to come as if he failed then it would of put his career back.

He spent 35 million in his time here and yes we are now far superior to where we were. Now unfortunately, we are 25 million in debt. It swings in roundabouts. I think kamara will be sold, 9 million and goldsin will just leave. We need to win the league. No other options 2022,56.

Ross o, we are not in debt, the directors bought it out for additional shares.
