Why would we play 4-4-2 when that doesn't suit the players etc we have?
OK let's change from 4-3-3 but 4-4-2 won't work.
4-1-2-3 would work perfectly.

As has been stated on here. Gerrard is now Changing it during the Games but yes its a bit. too slow/ late.

We need to move the ball quicker its all too pedestrian and slow ATM. The players don't seem to have the inner intensity or self awareness to quicken it up. If we are quicker to move the ball, drag players out etc then we get in behind, providing the final ball is tbere.

Any variation of 433 whether it be 4123 4213 won't work. 2 up top is the answer. 352 I agree with. A TM and a ST in the middle is a must👍.

352 this weekend, mcglaughlan. Goldson, big fil, Balogun. Patterson, kamara Aribo Arfield barasic Cedric Morelos. Subs Edmunson, Bassey, Jack, Kent, Roofe, Davis, a goalie . Kamara holding or jack. Patterson attacking wing back with barasic . Arfield and Aribo getting forward. Set play, 3 defenders up in the box with Cedric and Aribo that’s 5 over 6 ft tall should get some joy from corners etc. Anyone I’ve not mentioned is dropped. Maybe try Kent down the right if Patterson not doing it.

As for tavernier I keep reading he missed candelas an needs someone better in fry of him, this formation he would not have any one in front of him.

It doesn't matter what our formation is, if we use players that are past their best, examples being Arfield and Davis and have a player who slows the game down and plays the ball backwards and sideways, as Kamara does, we will struggle to break teams down and we will continue to drop foolish points.

Why do people keep saying this is the team a would play and name the players who would be playing if not injured ie aribo and bologun am sure the manager would pick these players if they are fit we are going to get injuries so he can't pick which is prob his strongest starting 11 everyweek and forgetting that our 2 new strikers are still getting match fit that's why they aren't starting yet.

New to the posting game, was coaching youth for a long time, always had to have a back up shape just incase it was needed.
We have the perfect personnel to play 4 diamond 2.

Strikers
Itten, Morelos.
Hagi, needs time and imo is a creative player, not a winger.

JB good point mate I've never thought of that diamond shape with that personel however i think your bang on and, when required jack drops in to defence when TAV/ bB go forward. Jacks be doing this anyway recent yl but dropping too deep to collect the ball. So i agree in that shout and shape mate byuuuuut gaurentee if it didn't work folk would still blame Gerrard and Tav 😂😂.
