Warburton/Weir really! no experience between them of real management! these 2 will be put under pressure from when they announce this today, so they better have some news of the players they will be bringing to the club? after all it, s a week until pre-season starts so are their any players out of contract worth pulling on the jersey? board have been very naive the timescale was a matter of urgency, should have been dealt with more professionally, wish them all the luck in the world but in my opinion wrong choice, looks like another season of turmoil! PS if it goes tits up Mr King give me or any other blue nose a call for some real advice.

Your ignorance is laughable.

Did you on any occasion watch Brentford last season? They played very attractive attacking football under Warburton and Weir and got within touching distance of the Premiership.

Warburton has gotten into football management via a very unorthodox route but he is very talented and is a great appointment for rangers

Warburton and Weir were by far the best candidates and in fact I'm surprised they took the job

I hope to God he king doesn't phone you for advice, who would you rather have Walter Smith. Alex Ferguson never had much experience when he took the Aberdeen job

How does managing a team in the 2nd tier of English football constitute no real managerial experience?

Hooly I normally agree with your posts but would just ask you if Souness and Walter Smith didn't buy success? In both cases on money Murray borrowed from a, soon to be bailed out to the tune of £1billion by the country, bank?
Even in Walter's second stint he spent £30million on transfers in 4 years and in a way as it transpired showed his appointee Mr McCoist how not to do it if you have the country's best specialist youth development facility. But hey that is in the past- onwards and upwards with a new management team who will hopefully utilse youth and Auchenhowie properly and keep it all affordable with exciting football. So no pressure really

You could make that argument mannering. But the point I was making was that every great manager was inexperienced at one time. Look at mourinho who I rank as one of the greatest he went to porto without much experience and the rest is history as they say

Now that I agree with Hooly- never failed anywhere- probably just about the most successful club manager ever apart from Alec Ferguson - but Mourinho has achieved it with more clubs.
