To many people got worried by click bait. It was always a done deal he signed ages ago.

Yeh I’ve just seen that on twitter. Not sure how accurate insider is. But I believe it’s happening.

Rangers will be a great club for Cantwell. Fans will love him and his swagger. The kids arrogant and a noise up merchant.

Great bit of business when it’s done.

RTID.

I'd rather get him for start next season and not pay Norwich a thing.

Good. Cantwell brings something that we have lacked for some time and is an improvement to the starting 11. He's just not been the same since Farke left Norwich.

Gofor I said earlier in the week that I believed cantwell signed the pre contract a while ago. There’s no proof of that but I still believe it and hence why Norwich were forced to turn down 1.5m from Blackburn as 1. why else would they if he wasn't in Norwich plans? and 2. why would they not negotiate a price rather than flat out rejecting it? I’d imagine the fee will be a lot less than that. I’d predict around 500k but I’d say could be as low as 250k or as high as 1m. That’s total guess work though but it certainly won’t be an excessive amount as rangers will have been balancing the benefit of getting him now compared to the cost.

U would prefer our midfielders or wingers to just stumble on till the season ends dependant on where he will play gofor? Do u not believe in competition for places?

I get you Davieb1996 but I'd still rather use the 500k or whatever it is elsewhere if hagi is indeed back I think we have more than enough for the rest of the season. The eague is looking like a long shot basically need to win both Celtic games and hope they drop two results and we don't drop any at same time can't see that I'd rather use money to get boys like pitu or other low risk signings.

I get you gofor but I'm not quite conceding the league yet of course it’s unlikely but couple favourable results over the next few weeks and it’s game on. If it’s a minimal fee then I think it’s worth it for a better chance at the 2 cups and also for him to be fully bedded into the squad for next season. If there’s going to be a turnover in players then we want to build some form of a core over the next few of months.

Shagger69 it's more about the size of squad and the wagebill we have too many players on the books and should be moving some on before getting ones in matondo has done not very much but still collecting a wage. We also have several players coming back and if we keep stock piling players tell me what is even the point of the youth system? Will Lowry or any other youth ever get a fair shot? We'd rather give a chance to a foreign or English player that hasn't really done anything in Thier career but is on high wages a chance. before our own youth.

David b I'm not conceding either but people seem to forget we have guys like tilman Lawrence hagi roofe colak on books as well as some decent youth who are not getting a chance. If we moved one or two on I'd say fair enough but the spend spend spend attitude is what caused us to get into trouble in first place an we are doing the exact same mistake over and over again.

Davidb1996 so you think we should forget guys like Lowry McCann devine.

Why are we paying fees for youth players if we never intend to use them it's idiotic.
