May be nothing in it Humph but worth pointing out Destanoglu has effectively lost his place in the Besiktas first XI. The new coach has selected Mert Gunok for the last two games, a player he previously installed as Turkey's Number 1 ahead of Altay and Ugurcan, and has a long history of working with. Reckon on this basis the young lad will definitely leave on a free if his deal is indeed up.

Southampton Supporters that I know didn't rate him. They were pleased to see him leave. As GVB said above, he had a bad habit of playing players out of position. Spent quite a bit of money but failed to get results. Also earned a major salary! Not for me.

No chance on Ersin Destanoglu unless GK coaches have lost Thier heads another keeper with poor handling that punches everything back into danger area and makes normal saves look spectacular. only things he has going for him is not afraid to use his feet or anything to block and seems quite a brave keeper.

He is still young could work on his handling but the fact he keeps palming away Tells me the confidence not there.

Mccrorie a better keeper for me.
