Reports Burnley had 4m to spend on a striker and they have moved on from Sakala as we knocked their bids back.

I personally would have bitten their hand off for anything over what we paid for him 2.75m i'm sure it was.

Not how it works 3 cheers - I would hazard a guess that GVB wanted someone who could potentially win aerial duals, hold up the ball, win free kicks in and around the box and link up play. He clearly saw Aribo as the man to do thatm. but because he didn't pick Sakala doesn't mean he's not a striker. he's just a different striker. Sakala played as a striker (across the front 3) in Belgium.

Given that Company is in charge of Burnley and with his knowledge of the Belgian league - it wouldn't surprise me of Sakala was on his radar.

That said, I can't imagine us knocking back that sort of money for him.
