He’s played more than that dunno where you’re seeing those stats. he was a good prospect at city and got a few games in the cups I believe, was in a competitive u23 team there played in the Prem 2 at 17 when city came second, good injury record which is positive.

Very harsh to say not interested in youth career or playing in a second team from a man who spends a lot of time going to youth games and saying about what potential our youngsters have, he was at Man city for a while which easily explains why at 23 he has made limited appearances at senior level.

To be fair Goldson had played 32 times for Brighton before he came to us and he had the heart issue and became a mainstay. Don’t know much about the boy but he seems to have a good reputation. Might be worth a punt. In Gio we trust .

He has played 55 times in Belgium league alone according to transfer market over last couple of years so not 40. I do find it strange that youth doesn’t count for this guy but counts for our youngsters.

I agree with John25. B team and games at youth level provide encouragement and a benchmark for us when looking at what we have coming through our ranks.
However, the stats provided from these games should not be considered as equivalent to - or amalgamated with - professional first team games, as we are talking about 2 completely different levels. How kids perform at 1st team level is the proof of the pudding; just my opinion, fellow fans.
