Raskin: head and shoulders or best player. This is likely the performance that has many a team around Europe looking at him and we'll do well to keep him in the summer.

Diomande: decent game. I'm but good biggest fan and he made a few slack simple passes, but overall a decent game.

Nsiala: to be fair did really well when he came on. His best 45 for us I think.

Everyone else outfield, terrible.

Special mentions to:

Dessers: imposter at this level. Offered nothing. Not a single thing. Falls over in the wind, at fault (with Tavernier) for the second goal, let CBs get in front of him all night. Needs to go at the end of the season. Terrible striker.

Cerny: it's all about him. Lazy, didn't work back, offered nothing. Even if we could afford him, I wouldn't pay the money. Rarely turns up when it matters, average player who will return to obscurity when he leaves us.

Jefte: truly terrible fullback. Can't defend, can't cross, looks lost.

Terrible performance, out with a whimper, so so comfortable for Athletic who didn't have to do much to beat us.

And to cap it off, we got to see our captain drop a man at the back post to lose a goal, like he has done his whole career. Great value, but time to go.

Only player to get pass marks was Raskin. All others were very poor.

If we are to progress, we need players and a system that absolutely loves to get pressed because they constantly know how to beat it. We're no where near that atm but we need to get there because that's where we fall down. Teams press us and we jump the ball upfield and give them it straight back. It's a very tough game doing that for 90 mins. We need players and a system that can take the ball, beat the press and put the opposition on the back foot.

Big summer ahead.

Agree 100% gdog, can't believe some still defend dessers, the guy is a big girls blouse, more interested in falling down than actually trying to make a run, and don't even start with jefte, possibly the worst defender I've ever seen, don't want to hear he is young, he is just abysmal.
