Was reading today that in klopps 1st 4 seasons he finished 8th 4th 4th n 2nd winnin 0 trophies, he went on to have one of the best teams premier league has ever seen. Won champions league got to another final win the league and so on.

Arteta had a similar run of finishes aswel.

Teams take time to build and get right.

People need to have more patience.

There’s a reason why they kept their jobs? The football was exciting and the fans could see they were on an upwards trajectory. Can you say that about Beale?

2.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 13:21:19
Thing is mate. We are in a two horse league and are expected to win it. Down south there are so many teams that can win the league, so its more acceptable from fans to accept not wining it.

4th, 4th, 2nd, 1st, 3rd, 2nd, 5th
2nd season CL runners up
3rd season CL winners
4th season Super Cup and World club winners
5th season QF CL
6th season won FA and League Cup and CL Runners Up
And at the same time was playing entertaining football.
Meanwhile in Glasgow, Beale has still to win a meaningful game against Celtic in a 2 horse race losing LC Final and SC semi-final. And already beaten at home by Celtic to fall 4 points behind.
Apart from all that, you are spot on with the Beale / Klopp comparison.

They were also playing the best clubs in the world not losing to kilmarnock.

Klopp brought a style and vision that fans could buy into. Arteta the same. Fans had patience because the project was obvious from the start. Beale arrived from QPR with 1 point in 15. He was a snake of the highest order, getting his brogues under the table when the classy and dignified GVB was still in office. He has spouted contradictory hot air since the minute he arrived. He's a shifty imposter of a guy and if that's the standards we aspire to then god help us.

Even if I could stomach him as a person, his style of play is non existent. His signings are warming the bench on the whole. People say Raskin and Cantwell are genius signings. Well I'd rather see Cantwell do it in a game that matters before I agree on that and as for Raskin, let's not kid ourselves on, he's brutal. Haven't seen anything of the new guys this year to suggest they are inspired signings, other than the keeper, who we all knew about anyway.

I'd be absolutely fascinated to hear what you see as positive about the guy because knowing English football as I do, I can assure you that the vast majority of Liverpool and Arsenal fans had faith quite early on. For justified reasons of obvious tactics and signings.

Beale will be gone soon. And it'll be a huge good riddance to a shambolic appointment.

Think people could see their plan and a clear sign of progress as well as attacking football. We don't even seem as good as last year and can't work out a plan. Hopefully tho we kick on now tho.

All fair points lads, we’re all entitled to an opinion.
Personally I’m split 50/ 50 on Beale now.
He’s who I wanted so I can’t criticise the appointment.
I’m not convinced by his signings, feel he’s wasted a lot of money for Scottish levels.
Feel he’s ignorant to our league - shankland, van veen could both have done a job for us.
I wanted us to go for porteous aswell although that’s unpopular.
I get everyone’s points, just thought I’d use that article I read as an example of how we need to be a bit more patient before passing judgement. If we support the guy and he fails fine, but we can’t slaughter and abuse him and expect him to do his job to his best ability.

I think we need to support him and the players aslong as we’re winning.

I certainly don’t rate Beale as I do klopp, my point is simple. Not winning the league is acceptable. Asking as we’re close to them and not pumped. We need to be competitive and show signs of improving and gelling together. Celtic are miles ahead of us financially and under ange they were aswell.
It could take 3/ 4 windows in total since Beale came in to overtake Celtic or even be equal to them. He’s had 2z
I feel he needs our support and deserves a break here.
That’s all.

Easy to do in england. Not so much in scotland where 2nd is failure for us.

Walter Smith's second spell was just ultra defensive anti-football. Anti-football was a title given to his Rangers team by the rest of Europe because we made no attempt to even play football. We just punted the ball up for Kenny Miller to chase aimlessly. We pulled this stunt in Europe and against Celtic for years.

Was it entertaining? No. Did anyone complain? No, because it's a results driven business.

It doesn’t matter what the fans think about entertaining football, seeing where it's going, or whatever else they complain about. As long as Beale keeps winning at a rate of 72% he's going nowhere.

10.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 15:26:23
So let me get this right.

The anti-Beale brigade would accept defeats so long as we are playing free flowing attractive football?

Its becoming a joke on here - form an uneducated opinion, then repeat it 5 times a day no matter what happens.

BTW, despite all the well informed sources and rumours Beale was not sacked before we beat St Johnstone.

Glasgowrangersgooner, if you don't mind me asking mate, who would you want as rangers manager ?.

12.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 15:55:54
SirWalterSmithOBE. Good to hear from you pal. I have no idea who I'd want as I'm just not as informed as those who should be doing the choosing. What I would say is that David Weir at Brighton identified De Zerbi. He's done his job brilliantly by bringing him in. I'd be suggesting first and foremost that we have someone of Weir's ability in a technical position to make the next appointment.

Many clubs make expensive mistakes in managerial appointments, and I completely understand there is no guarantee. However we appointed Beale because the experienced players (players who had underperformed for GVB. Tales should never wag dogs) and Ross Wilson liked him and wanted him in. His CV didn't merit it. We are paying a heavy price.

I don't believe it has to be a Rangers man. But I do believe it has to be a man of Rangers class.

Have to say I may be a tad controversial here but I do actually see some of what MB is trying to do. Build up slowly, prodding and try to draw opposition out. That being said I feel we don’t exploit the spaces quick enough when this happens.
The two goals show what can be done when we move swiftly and with purpose. Just wish we did it more. Think Matondo and Sima both highlighted this as their turns of pace offered more than Lammers as Saints came out (tho Lammers is clearly and intelligent and technical player. But one who looks shorn of confidence) .
Also glad to see Davies, Lawrence and Yilmaz play. Game fit is important (Lawrence will be tremendous IMO when fully 100%) and Yilmaz and Davies should be good enough post Euro qualifiers against most domestic sides (giving us options) and if they play well …. Who knows.

18 Sep 2023 16:41:40
I agree 100 % DK
Amazin tattie you eliminated the first stat about klop finishing 8th . Think that tells its own story.
Walter never played attractive football nor did he win everything.
This witch hunt fuelled mischievously by the other side and followed by the usual sheep.
Arteta was close to being hounded out by the Arsenal fans but the board had a bit of backbone .
Our style is no different than it has been for years .
As I said before in my opinion a lot of that has to do with the players being scared to take responsibility for fear of the boo boys .
No coincidence that the team played way better without fans on their back for every mistake. And I admit I am guilty of that as well but not nearly as much as to spout the vitriol that’s demonstrated on this site .
Thank goodness it’s not the voice of the majority.
There’s a silent majority who are willing to show a bit of faith and cut this project a little slack.

100% correct Verdant great post, i'm sick of all the manager haters who have appeared all of a sudden - seems to me a majority of posters now are under 30 and don't have too much of a clue - interesting note I did hear a rumour Neil Warnock on the way to lend a hand - we shall see.

16.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 17:46:03
Glasgowrangersgooner, need to get off the fence and tell us what you really think of MB ?. Verdant while I agree under Smith it was anti football at times that was mainly in Europe and old firm. And it worked. It was also built on a solid defence. At the same time Boyd was setting records against other teams. It wasn't always pretty but was winning football. Beale's team after promising attacking football with the handbrake off isn't built on a good defence, playing good football or winning big games.

17.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 18:09:31
Your right mols of players can't handle playing in front of fans perhaps they shouldn't be at a big club like Rangers which expects success.

18.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 18:18:06
Well said mols.
And your quite correct there max a majority of arsenal fans wanting rid of Arteta aswel.
Good to hear and see there’s a lot of fans willing to back the plan and have patience.

19.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 18:27:16
The majority of fans want Beale gone.

20.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 18:28:23
Dk no one suggesting happy to accept defeat for good football. Let's get your point straight then, you're happier accepting what happening now, losing every big game while playing poorly in the rest as well.

21.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 18:49:21
Our league is too small and cutthroat leaves no room for teams to give youth a go this is why we are seeing most of our youth head south which will give our clubs domestic trained problems in future.

22.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 18:54:31
Amazing, Owngoals, you eliminated the fact that Klopp took over from Rodger’s in October after He was sacked.
But choose to give Beale a pass for last season after he took over from Gio. ?
Think that tells its own story?.

We now have Beale getting compared to Klopp?, Sir Alex Ferguson ? and arguably Rangers greatest manager Walter Smith?.
Even more embarrassing is trying to ridicule Smiths style of football to try and give some sort of success to Beale’s failings. A manager who has the wonderful 70% win rate but has won nothing and some on here are lauding him as a Rangers great???.

23.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 18:55:13
Finishing 2nd means nothing in Scotland. Rangers ain't winning enough with the wage budget we have.

24.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 19:13:25
As long as Beale keeps winning with this level of consistency he will not be sacked.

I don't expect us to beat Betis because they’re a good team, from a top league, and favourites to qualify. They should beat us so anything we get from that is a bonus in my mind. We need to put the other two teams away and qualify for the knockouts in second spot - As is our expected finish. Anyway, after the Betis game we have a prolonged run of him games. We’ve only ever lost once at home under Beale so this should be a good period for us.

25.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 19:42:40
Van veen is 33 this year come on you can’t expect us to go for a striker at that age.

26.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 20:04:45
Mark44 can I ask who elected you to speak for the majority. I think the people that want him gone are more vocal. There are plenty that want to see how the season plays out.

27.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 20:07:05
MPH, you can’t be the stat man if you only quote stats that suit your argument.

No-one compared Beale with Fergusson etc. We compared the fans attitude ~ would the current batch of Rangers fans have let AF etc off with the run of results he had at MU? No chance! I just hope the board are strong enough to ignore the boo boys and trust their decision making.

Kaiser, try reading GRGooners and a few others posts above.

28.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 20:20:45
Great post MPH ? funny how Beale gets the pass but klopp doesn’t on his 1st season with some but there you go doesn’t suit their agenda.

29.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 20:21:58
Agree verdant
A draw to bet is is a good start in Europe this year.

MPH your just arguing for arguing sake now I think, your not taking on others points and opinions regarding mb.
Nobody is comparing him to anyone, we’re all using good examples from rangers past and other clubs and managers situations to give a bigger picture to this situation of ours.

Bottom line is this, if we give a good showing in Europe, if we beat and draw with Celtic and if we win the league cup and give a good go at Scottish then even finishing 2nd mb will likely be the manager next season so you’re aswel supporting the guy as he’s going nowhere if as verdant says he keeps winning at the rate he’s doing.

30.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 20:22:14
Sorry tattie your emojos bamboozled me more than your daft stats …
Thought I was going to faint there trying to read that post … never got through it I’m afraid . Try the colouring in pencils with the emojis that might help .
Kaieser there’s a lot bigger clubs than ours stand by their manager a bit more than we do in a crisis .

Tattie no one says our manager is on any level like the greats … just being pointed out that they were given time to demonstrate their greatness .

And mark it’s only on here I get the impression the knives are really out for beal … or there would be a demo at the main entrance. Not even a hint of that .
As I say in my view it’s fuelled by mischievous posts from individuals from the other side followed by the sheep with no backbone who when a couple of results honour way will do their usual about turn .
So predictable happens all the time . happened with Stevie G and gio.

31.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 21:29:06
I’m hardly going to agree with someone else’s opinion when I have a totally different opinion, Stevie.
Especially when I think they are talking nonsense.
But that’s the beauty of this site.
You state your opinion and others either agree or disagree.
And that’s a lot of ‘ifs’ in your last paragraph.
And who’s not supporting him or the team?
Unlike others I’m not part of the Chemical Ali Loyal and think it’s all rainbows ? and unicorns ?.
Constructive criticism is surely allowed or we as fans will just continually accept 2nd best.

32.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 21:32:40
So you never read the post, Owngoals.
But read all the way to the second last sentence to see where I’d mentioned the greats that some are currently referencing that Beale needs ‘ time to demonstrate their greatness’?‍♂️
Jesus wept.

33.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 21:54:26
Mols I agree mate a lot of the hatred to Beale on here is coming from new accounts, a lot of rumours and stuff seem to be clear bs stories from people who haven’t posted before or not much atall.

The facts are if Beale keeps winning he’s not going anywhere.

34.) 18 Sep 2023
18 Sep 2023 23:01:31
That’s a fair enough reply MPH and of course your not going to agree with someone u don’t agree with, fair enough.
What’s this chemical Ali thing I don’t know anything about it?

Raskin age is irrelevant mate if your fit and have ability.
We signed players older than that before and for me 2year deal with club option of 3rd would e been a wise move for someone who proved himself in our league.
His technique was exceptional, really good touch and vision outstanding. Always found the angle to hit target and score a lot. I thought he was a really really good player mate.
