Any thoughts on Thomas Kristensen Danish CB. from Aarhus GF. He's 21 and wouldn't cost a fortune. I've heard his name mentioned as a possible good signing for us.
Anyone know anything?

Would be a great signing but as it seems usual rangers won't follow up interest in Scandinavia players.
Skov olsen, solbakken, berg to name a few.

Agree with u as arbor, why we don’t look at the Scandinavian market more bewilders me mate. Especially for defenders. Celtic have had great success in this market. Also Balkan and Eastern Europe has great value for up and coming players with great sell on potential.

Asathor, tend to agree, certainly seems to be some excellent players in that market.

Kristensen looks a very good young player. My only comment is he looks like he is predominantly right footed. We need 2 naturally left footed defenders. One out and out CB and one CB/ LB.

I don't get this fascination with needing a left sided centre back. Some of our best CB partnerships have been two right footed defenders and many, many teams play that way.

I get it's convenient if you can get one who is also a good defender, but I'd rather have a good right sided centre back playing on the left of a 2 (like Amoruso, Bagherra, McLaren, McPherson, Balogun through 55 etc. ) than a bang average lefty like Davies, just because they are lefties.

Most important thing for me is they're good centre backs. Foot they kick with means little to me.

We don’t need a left footed centre back that’s a myth man. We do need someone who can play Lcb comfortably though, which plenty of right footed centre backs can do. I don’t get the fascination with it either . What we do need is a tall powerful aerial threat at both ends with a bit of pace and they don’t come cheap.

Really? Let’s make the assumption we only sign and play a player on the basis they are good enough. You are then into what is best and I say a left footed player playing on the left is better than a right footed player. It may only be a few % better but that is still better. Same argument with tall centre backs or fast ones, who is best? The one that is both. All about opinions, totally respect what you are saying.
