Hi Fellow Bears,

I believe we should rest Roofe for this game and save him for sat as I think he has a couple of goals in him against this mob! Give Morelos 90 min and hopefully he can get a couple himself and raise his confidence before sat. Thoughts?

We can't underestimate St Mirren as possibly Gerrard did in the cup game. St Mirren are playing well of late and getting some great results. We need our strongest team tonight. Morelos has done nothing to deserve a start.

I’m certainly not underestimating as I know how important this game is. I do believe however that if Morelos was in the cup squad we would not have lost that game. Morelos has a great hold up and link up play that we will certainly need in the next two games, this is only my opinion.

Gerrard never underestimated St Mirren.
He utilised the squad - of which many on here were saying is the best we've had in years with competition for places.
The same squad that was utilised for the Poznan game and which we won.
The team had an off night.
We will win easily today if the team -no matter which one is put out - turns up.

Leave it to the Manager, he knows better than us what to do, we will have a strong team out no matter what his selection is. I don't go along with this tiredness talk, a player should be able to play 3 games a week if trained properly, so Kemar Roofe will be sharp for both games. I agree with Alfie not meriting a start at this time, it's all about opinions though.

I agree MPH, we had a strong team out that night and and would have won if they had not had an off night. Might be a good shout to put Roofe on the bench and have him fresh for them. Alfie has not had a lot of game time and judging by his cameo against Hibs, I think he looks fit and sharp and desperate to do well.
